Narrator POV
Lizzie and scar have been talking every day about Nora and about what they could do to help her.
Little do they know that both had a special bond to her but both think that they are just helping a student as a teacher.
But both care for Nora on a different perspective and they both know that Victor is the worst since they've caught him cheating there is no way that Nora goes back to him willingly.
„So how are the wedding preparations going?"
Scar asked Lizzie while they spend the lunch break together at Lizzie's favorite cafe.
„Bumpy If I can say it like this. Robbie's mom interferes more than she should." Lizzie replied as they both got their food served.
„What is he doing now? Robbie? I mean you haven't talked about him at all and we haven't seen each other since we left college."
„Y'know he's a musician. He told me he is going on tour right after our wedding. So we wanted to schedule it before he travels across the country."
„How long will be be gone?" Scar asked out of curiosity cause what type of husband would leave their Bride right after the wedding?
„Probably a couple months." Lizzie mumbled while having her mouth full.
„And y'all didn't Plan some sort of honeymoon?
I mean you ain't getting married every day!"
Scarlett asked while leaning back into her chair.
„I know. But he can't delay the tour so we kinda let it slide. It's okay we can do it another time."
She explained and scar nod at this half hearted reply. She noticed that Liz wasn't fine with it. She can tell by the sound of her voice.
„You still sure about y'know... marrying him?"
Scar asked her best friend and she nod after taking a bite from her bagel.
„I still love him. Despite what happens... every couple has their ups and downs it's normal."
She tries to brush it off but scar still has a strange feeling about him.
„Normal? Liz... I hate to break it to you but this back and forth isn't normal."
„Come on. Aren't you sick of telling me who I should marry? Don't you wanna look at yourself and your relationship instead of fishing around in mine?" Lizzie fired back and that surprised scar which hurt her a bit as well.
„Wow that came unexpected. No need to get so angry at me. You know I just care and I want you to be happy."
„Besides. You know that i am not that much of a relationship type person."
„I know. But I thought you might have changed in the years where we haven't stayed in contact."
„There was someone actually.." scar mumbled and Lizzie's brow raised in surprise.
„You where in a relationship?!?" Lizzie inquired shocked. No one ever got so close to scar that she builded a relationship with them.
„She was perfect. Funny, sexy, intelligent."
„What happened?" Liz asked as scars voice was lost in the sad daydream.
„She cheated. Multiple times. She was like me at the start. We both weren't the relationship type.
But somehow we ended up together and she changed me for the better at that time. Until I found out that she was cheating. It wasn't that long ago actually." Lizzie took scars hand as they rested across the table.
„I am sorry scar. You don't deserve this. I know how hard it is for you to build a relationship.
I wish I would have been there for you."
Lizzie apologized trying to give scar the comfort she needs.
„Yeah me too. I couldn't even look at her anymore.
Everywhere I go I see things that remind me of her.
So I had to move. I looked for a job and this was the place I found that was far away from her and from the city where we collected our memories."
„So you moved because of her?" Lizzie asked.
„I had no other option. I was depressed at this place. The thoughts where dragging me down and I couldn't bare it anymore."
„Did it help to move away?" Lizzie inquired trying to figure out if her best friends feels better here.
„Yes definitely! It helped a lot and I am glad that I ended up here with you around." She gave her a half smile.
„I'm glad it helped. If you need anything let me know. Even if you just wanna talk. I'll be there."
„Thank you Liz." she smiled gently.
„By the way this café is beautiful." she changed the topic as she swirled around with her hand.
„That's why it's my favorite spot. I found it when I was going for a walk to clear my head and ever since I found this place I couldn't stay away from it."
„Yeah. It's a adorable." she looked around at the book shelves filled with old books.
The creepers plant is tangled up between the book shelves and reaches to the top of the ceiling.
The small black square windows look so adorable and some windows are colored which makes the room looks even better when the sun shines through. Both where sitting in a brown leather armchairs which were a bit old since the fabric started to peal off at some sports.
If you'd take a look at this place at first you might think it looks rusty but it's Pepped up and it looks great. The atmosphere is relaxing, the People are nice and give you privacy as you always hear some light music in the background played on a record player.
„I've just lost my diary at this place recently. I was so glad when I got it back."
„Well I couldn't imagine you any other way. You always misplaced things I remember that."
Scar laughed at her as she thinks back to the back old days.
„oh come on. Am I that bad?" she asked while rolling her eyes.
„I remember once when you where freaking out because you thought you lost your sun glasses.
You had them resting on your head and It took you a while to realize that you where wearing them on your head."
„Okay that was a one time thing."
„Oh and you lost your keys multiple times. Let's not forget your ID card. See where this is going Liz? I can go on I have a list."
„I get it okay!! Now stop making fun of me."
„Come on I'm just teasing you."
„I know. You and your teasing."
