Nora POV
„What do you do to let out some built up anger?
Any habits?" she asked me and I thought for a moment back to a moment where I've been boiling with anger.
„When I was little I used to leave the house for as long as I could. I didn't want to be in there. I searched for a spot where I can either cry in peace or scream out into the void. Now it's different.
I isolate myself and shut down. Or I drown it in partying and drinking." she listened carefully and leaned back again into her chair.
„That Sounds Intense. Does that happen often?"
She asked me and I downed my shot and now my glass was just as empty as hers.
„That was a question to much don't you think?"
I inquired and she realized that it was my turn.
„And you shouldn't have downed the drink you could have just mentioned it."
„Yeah but I wanted to." I replied and she laughed.
„I like that laugh of yours. You should do that more often." I complimented and she blushed slightly.
„Well. Looks like you gotta make me laugh more often." she fired back and I nod pouring us the next shots.
„Isn't your fiancé making you laugh?" I asked and her laugh faded slowly away and I felt how the air got thicker.
„Let's just say it's complicated."
„Isn't love always complicated?" I asked back and she shrugged her shoulders.
„I don't think it needs to be complicated."
„But we end up most of the time with partners who make life complicated."
„You think so?" she asked and I nod.
„Definitely. In the end I wish I would have done things differently or handled it differently.
But I guess that's life. A fucking chaotic mess."
She nod at my response.
„Now Olsen. Tell me what was the strangest thing that has happened to you? Or something you can't get your mind wrap around." she had a thinking face for a moment and then her face light up slightly probably realizing what to answer.
„This was actually not to long ago. I write diary's and I misplaced it once."
„That doesn't sound good. Did you get it back?"
She smiled softly at me.
„I did yes. It was so weird. When I went back to the cafe where I thought I left it, and to my surprise the barista had it in his lost and found basket. He gave it back and told me that someone
was really caring to give it back."
„Well that doesn't sound so strange to me. It's just luck I guess." I answered and ate some peanuts of the bowl in front of us.
„I haven't told you the best part about it."
She informed me and curiosity grew.
„Here take a Look." she scrambled in her bag and pulled out her diary to my surprise.
„Is that yours?" I asked and she chuckled giving me a strange look.
„Of course It is. But wait. The one who handed it back to the barista actually read my diary.
Which was rude don't get me wrong."
Little does she know that I'm the one she's been talking about. I grabbed the book and looked at it as I see the initials written on it. E.C.O.
„W-what does the C stand for?" I asked not looking up to her.
„Chase. That's my middle name. Anyway. The one who read it wrote me a letter as in response to what my concerns where."
