Number seven

Nora POV

„I am not letting Nora play. This is an important game and from what I have heard is that she is suspended from this season." Scarlett answered towards the team as they all pleaded so that I can play again.

„Come on coach please. We need her. You've seen how we suck without her." Tina reminded Scarlett on how they trained. Beth told me that it wasn't the same without me.

„Please coach. The principal won't notice he never attends to the games. Besides you told us at the beginning that you want us to win and that is only possible when Nora is on the field with us."
Beth added and as we all stood in a circle and we shared looks of hope and frustration.

„I can get into serious trouble if the principal notice's are you all aware of that?" she huffed out annoyed.

„Everything that happens goes on me coach Johansson. Nothing will effect you if something goes wrong." I informed her coldly with crossed arms. She eyed me up and down and rolled her eyes slightly.

„Don't make me regret this." She replied and whistled the pipe.

„You guys know the drill. This isn't your first time playing against them. You've been kicking their asses every time and I want you to do it again."

„Wait. I see new players in their team." Beth said while looking to the other side.
We usually know them and how they play but It seems like they've changed some team members.

„That won't stop you from winning. Nora you have a problem?" she asked me directly as I was distracted seeing how Lizzie walked into the sports hall sitting down on a bench a bit behind students.

„Hm yeah. No problem here."

„whatever is distracting you. Get it out of your mind understood." she demanded while giving me a glare.

„Yeah." I replied still being distracted.

„Answer correctly Nora." she hissed at me and I rolled my eyes at her she really must be pissed about something.

„Understood coach Johansson." I answered now and she nod.

„Okay. Everyone the warm up was done we are ready. You all know who you have to keep your eyes on. Work fast and clever."

„Let's give them hell." I announced and everyone cheered to start the game.

„Nora a Word please." Scarlett pulled me aside by my arm and I glanced at it. She coughs lightly and let's go the warm touch on me Fades now.

„What is it?" I asked.

„Do me a favor and keep an eye on number seven.
She's been eying you ever since she walked in."

„What are you jealous?" I asked through a chuckle and she looked sternly at me raising her perfect brow.

„Could you shut it please."

„Make me coach." I whispered and she gulped.

„Nora!!" I heard Beth behind me and walked off backwards.

„Don't worry I'll keep my eyes on seven!" I told her with a sarcastic wink and she rolled her eyes walking up to the bench where the rest of the team was sitting.

Lizzie POV

I wanted to see what Scarlett scratched together.
She always puts a lot of effort into the team she is assigned to and I haven't seen her so concentrated for a while.

Yet there is something that bothers me. The conversation she shared with Nora seemed really close in some strange way. Not the normal pep talk with a student before they head off into the game.
