Scarlett POV
„Nora wait!!" I called after her as I was following her out of the wedding hall. We moved from the church to the wedding hall so that the wedding would start properly.
„Scarlett.." she greeted me and I embraced her into a tight hug feeling how skinny she got by touching her bare back.
„Are You okay?" she asked me surprised getting lose of the hug i gave her.
„I was actually about to ask you because I haven't seen you in forever." I asked her and she shrugged her shoulders.
„I'm doing great." she answered and I swear I can sense a lie from Miles away. This was definitely one.
„Nora.." I raised a brow and she tried to mind my gaze.
„I'm fine I just needed to get out for some air."
She motioned behind her to the exit where we both walked out from.
„You've changed Nora." I told her honestly and she raised a brow.
„How come?" she asked perplexed.
„You've become way skinnier in the past few weeks. You look extremely tired and exhausted and your attitude has changed completely."
I pointed out and her expression softened a bit.
I feel like she wants to say something but she's holding back and right before she could say anything we got interrupted.
„Nora!! Babe!!" I heard a deep male voice and Victor appeared right behind Nora grabbing her waist to pull her further to him.
This son of a bitch.
„Where have you been I've been looking for you all over this place." he asked as he kissed her cheek and Nora looked extremely uncomfortable.
Her body language shifted within seconds.
„Just needed to catch some air that's all."
She told him and he glared at me.
„Coach Johansson. I didn't expect to see you here tonight." he looked mad but not as mad as I am.
„Well. I have a close friendship with the bride. Not that it's any of your business." i fired back and I feel how he starts to grow uncomfortable around me.
As he should.
„Well. Why don't we go back in babe?"
He looked at Nora trying to get away from this conversation.
„Why don't you go back in and leave her here with me? We have to discuss some things in private."
I tried to get rid of him without him taking Nora.
„You can do it another time don't you think?"
He fired back annoyed.
„No this can't wait. Now Victor. Be a good student and leave." I told him sternly and I watched how he was grabbing Nora's waist tight before he let go of her.
„I'll see you inside babe." he kissed Nora again and left while glaring me up and down.
„Are you okay?" I asked as I wanted to stroke her arm but she flinched. This reaction made me boil on the inside. He is the one who is causing Nora's flinching reaction.
„Hmm. I'm just tired as you said."
„What is it between you and him?" I asked and she looked at me.
„It's nothing I don't know what your talking about. I'm just back with him. We talked it out."
„Talked it out? Nora he was literally cheating on you and me and Lizzie heard it. What we had was real. I don't know what he has in his hands but he is manipulating you."
„Well you don't need to worry about it."
„What? Of course I do need to worry about it and that simply because I care. I see how you've become and from what I heard from Lizzie is that you haven't been yourself ever since you got back with him." I funneled into her and she had a broken expression on her face.
„Either way I can't change anything. I can't fix it and i can't take back the things I've said and done."
She argued and I can't shake the feeling off that he has been doing horrific things to her.
She was so relieved after they broke up and she was such a fun and caring person. So energetic and full of life. But now she is unrecognizable.
Just like Lizzie told me. A complete different person. So life less and cold. Extremely closed up and I guess she keeps us both at one arm length.
„You have to tell one of us what is going on.
I can't watch you lose yourself over someone who treats you like shit."
„Well it's to late because I've lost myself already.
Scarlett I'm not into opening up in any way because I know it won't get me far. It won't help and I can't wait to leave everything and everyone behind as soon as I get the chance to do so."
„So what you think running away from your problems is a good solution? It isn't. You might be able to run from them but I can definitely assure you that they will follow you with every step.
I can speak from experience there. So let me please help you. I'm sure there is a better way and we both can find something to help you out."
„I'd rather be running my whole life instead of rotting In this place where I'll have to look at my problems." she fired back and took a deep breath after.
„If you will excuse me. I need a drink. Probably more than one but I gotta start somewhere."
She excused herself and walked back in leaving me alone in the chiseled night.
Nora POV
„Martini please." i asked for the drink and got it after minutes.
„Wow slow down there." the barkeeper told me as he saw how I was chucking my drink down.
„don't Tell me how I should drink my drink."
„Wow someone isn't a good mood. This is a wedding shouldn't we all be happy?" If I could I would smack this martini glass against his head but I would just make trouble which I don't want.
„I'm not really in the mood to keep up a conversation so how about you fill me up with shots. This way I can have what I want and you can do your job properly." I advised him and he seems a bit intimated by me.
„Here you go then."
„Starting off good. Thank you." I raised my first shot at him and downed it.
„I'm sorry my man. She has a lot of stress with college and stuff." I heard a male voice next to me who was apologizing for my behavior.
I look to my right to see who it is.
„Wow. What gives me gives me the honer to be enlightened by your presence?" I asked before I downed the next shot.
„I actually have a concern that I wanted to discuss with you." he replied me and I rolled my eyes at him.
„Well seems like I shouldn't refuse the grooms wish." I answered and he gave me fakest smile of all.
Here we go what will I have to endure next?
