Missing lectures

Lizzie POV

„Hey Beth. Have you heard anything from Nora?
She's been missing my classes and I just wanted to ask if she was sick?" I asked as I gave Beth her corrected assignment back. She's a close friend of Nora and this was the only way to find out if anything is wrong or not.

Ever since Nora told me she would talk to Victor,
She didn't appear in college after. Not just in my lectures. The other ones where missing her in their classes as well.

„Eh...not really. She told me she was sick laying flat with the flu. She said I shouldn't visit until she's good again." she replied cluelessly and my worry grew.

„let her know that I wish for her to get well soon."

„I'll do that. Thank you." she replied and I walked off to my office after the lecture ended.

My mind couldn't settle ever since Nora was missing her classes. So I've decided to look for Scarlett and I found her in the gym hall.

„I need to talk to you."
She turned around after she threw a basketball into the net.

„You Sound worried. What's on your mind liz?" she asked and we walked to the bench sitting down on it.

„It's about Nora. She's been missing my classes ever since she was planing on talking to Victor."
Scarlett raised a brow surprised as a worried Look grew on her face.

„This is almost a week ago. I thought she was normally attending to class. She told me she can't do sports for one or two weeks so I thought it was fine if she could skip training. I didn't know she wasn't here at all."

„Well. Can you maybe call her or something? I know you've exchanged numbers and all and Beth told me she had the flu but I don't know if it's believable or not."

„Of course I can. Come on my phone is in my office." she got up and I Followed her to her office.

She is almost for a month here and she has decorated it with her stuff already. The trophy's and medals she received back then. Pictures of teams she brought to the top and one caught my eye.

The one with us back in college. In our sports uniform next to each other in the middle of our team picture.

„You still have this picture?" I asked and she walked up from behind looking at the frame I held in my hands.

„Of course I do. Why shouldn't I?" she asked and I shrugged my shoulders while my mind was drowning in old memories.

„I don't know. It's really nostalgic to see this.
I miss the old days." I stroked some dust off the picture and placed it back where it stood.

„Me too. But hey who would have thought we would end up at the same college? Or even at a college at all? Strange isn't it?"

„yeah... it is." My answer dies off and I turned around seeing her walk back to the desk where she grabbed her phone.

„I'll put her on speaker." she wiggled with the phone and I nod.

„This is the mail box of Nora Lewis. Seems like I'm busy right now or I just don't want to pick the call up. Anyway leave a message or don't. It's up to you. Bye." her mailbox went on and I felt frustrated.

„Try again come on."

„Alright I'll do it but she probably won't pick-."

„Lewis here who's this?" Nora's voices pierced through the phone interrupting Scarlett's sentence.

„Nora? Is that you? It's Scarlett and Lizzie here."
We heard rustling but not Nora's voice.

„Why are you calling?" she asked and I looked up to Scarlett then back down onto the phone.
