"I think the lady said stop."
Sean eased off of me and I could see it was Hunter.
"Why won't you leave us alone?" Sean asked, "I'm busy here."
Hunter looked at me. I was scared. I couldn't say anything. Hunter looked back at Sean and gave him a smile before saying, "Ok."
Hunter turned to walk away and my jaw dropped. Hunter was just going to leave me?
Sean scoffed and that was when Hunter whirled back around, punching Sean in the face.
Sean fell to the ground with a hard thud. He brushed himself off and got back up, nose bleeding.
"Is that all you got, Hunter?" Sean asked
"No. But I'm trying to be a good person and not get into fights. So I'm going to get Lizbeth and go," Hunter said.
I held in my breath, waiting for Hunter to get me.
"Over my dead body," Sean said.
"I didn't want to resort to murder but I guess so," Hunter said.
He kicked Sean in the leg, causing Sean to go down, and literally almost punched him to death. I was frozen.
Suddenly, I snapped out of it and grabbed Hunter. I pulled him off of Sean and picked him back up.
He rubbed his knuckles before spitting on the ground.
"Are you ok?" Hunter asked.
I nodded, biting my lip to fight the tears.
"Come on. I'll take you home," Hunter said, linking his arm with mine.
We walked to his truck. Suddenly, the realization hit me.
"You were following me?" I asked.
"I wanted to make sure you were ok. I didn't trust him," Hunter answered.
We were now in his truck and my eyes burned with hot and salty tears.
"How could I be so stupid?" I cried, hiding my face.
"You weren't stupid at all," Hunter assured me.
"You told me and I ignored you. How stupid can I get?" I asked with a sniffle.
"Its gonna be ok now," Hunter answered.
He started up the truck and we drove off. The car ride was silent at first with only the music playing. I turned the music down and turned to look at Hunter.
"Why'd you kiss me yesterday?" I asked.
"I like you. Well, I more than like you. And I figured kissing you would help get the point across," Hunter answered.
"How long?" I asked.
"After we first met. While we were talking and sitting down. I liked how you were different and not to mention, you're very pretty. But most of all, you helped me. You very well saved me. And I think I fell even harder from that point on. I think about you. Constantly. A lot. Every day. About how to make you smile, what to say to you, how not to hurt your feelings, and how I can make you feel the same," Hunter answered.
I was shocked. He was practically in love with me.
"I had no idea," I said.
"I know," Hunter said with a laugh, "I could tell by your face."
"I don't know what to say," I said.
"You can say you would like to be with me. Please," Hunter said with a nervous laugh.
I didn't even have to think about it. I nodded.
"Yeah. Of course. Sorry I didn't do this sooner," I said.
"Its cool, Liz-pizzle. As long as I have you," Hunter said with a smile.
I blushed. I was sort of Hunter Grey's girlfriend. Who would've thought?
We soon arrived at home. I sighed. I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay with Hunter and talk.
"This is me. I guess," I said.
"Yep," Hunter said awkwardly.
I leaned forward and kissed him. It was soft and sweet and I didn't want to let go.
Hunter let go and gave me a smile.
"You're a good kisser," Hunter said.
"Thanks. I practiced on my hand a couple of times," I said.
Hunter grabbed my hands and kissed them both.
"Great hands," Hunter replied.
I let out a little laugh.
"Better get going. I'll see you tomorrow," Hunter said.
"What are we doing tomorrow?" I asked.
"That's for me to know and you to find out," Hunter answered.
"Oh great. I'm going to die," I said.
"You won't. I promise," Hunter said with a smile.
I smiled back. Like I said, his smiles were contagious.
I made the peace sign and climbed out the car. I quickly skipped to the house and once inside, I saw Dad sitting on the couch.
"Your date go well?" Dad asked.
"It was...something," I answered.
"Why'd Hunter drop you off?" Dad asked.
It was like he saw it all.
"Sean had to leave early and I called Hunter to drop me off," I answered.
"You could've called me," Dad said.
"I'm back in one piece, aren't I?" I said, fed up with the questions.
"Watch your tone. Your cat was meowing for you," Dad said.
"Fluffy Space Princess?" I asked.
"Teenagers," Dad said with a sigh before walking back to the couch.
I ran upstairs and into my room where Fluffy Space Princess was asleep. She was all curled up and cat like.
I walked onto the left side and sat down, ready to sleep.
Before I drifted off, the last thing I thought of was Hunter.
Short. Short. I know. Don't remind me. Hunter and Lizbeth are finally together. Yeah. But will it last? *Suspenseful Music Plays* Find out in the next chapter of My Little Monster.
If this became a show or movie, I swear to God.
