Over the course of the week, I changed. I wore makeup. A lot. My clothes were more revealing. Boys noticed me more. Girls were catty towards me.

People were still scared of me. I had gone from quiet nerd to bad ass bitch.

It was the following Monday and I just realized I had forgotten to do my homework. It was whatever.

As I was in my locker, I saw someone walk towards me. I looked and it was some guy. I didn't know him so I just turned back around.

"Lizbeth, right?" the guy asked.

"That's my name. Try not to wear it out," I answered.

"The name's Kyle. And I hope you wear my name out. Again and again," the guy said.

I looked at him and gave him a flirtatious grin before he grinned back.

"Sounds like a plan," I said.

"You doing anything after school?" Kyle asked.

"Nope," I answered, popping the p.

"Great. Meet me at the front after school," Kyle said.

"See you there," I said.

He walked off and I saw Hunter staring. He looked crushed.

I gave him a smile and waved. He looked away and I just quietly chuckled.

That's how he got me. By controlling me into believing him. I was gullible and innocent then. But not anymore. If he could have easily broken me like that, then he never loved me.

And if he did, it skeeted right out of him after we had sex. Like a typical player.

But it's cool.

For now.

I had been out, using the bathroom, and when I walked out, I saw Hunter leaning against the lockers.

He walked towards me once he saw I left.

"Oh hi," I said nonchalantly.

"What has gotten into you?" Hunter asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked with fake innocence.

"Your appearance, attitude. For God's sake, you beat the living shit out of Claire just last week. You were lucky she didn't want to press charges and admitted that she was the cause of it all," Hunter answered.

I fake yawned before saying, "Are you done, Daddy?"

"Liz... I don't like this new you," Hunter said.

"Why do you care? Has smoking weed fried your brain to the point you have no memory? We broke up. We're done. I can go throw away my life with someone else besides you." I said.

Hunter looked hurt from my words and for a second, I felt a little sorry.

"Whatever, Lizbeth," Hunter said.

I dug in Hunter's pocket and took his cigarettes and lighter.

"Hey!" Hunter said.

"Won't be needing them now. By the way, stop wearing leather jackets. Its fucking 90° outside," I said before walking off.

I grinned as I snuck them into my locker. He could go suicidal for all I cared. Drastic, I know. But I didn't care.

Unfortunately, since Hunter and I have every class together, he was going to probably annoy me for eternity.

"Give them back," Hunter whispered.

"Try a little harder than that," I whispered back.

"Please," Hunter begged.

"No," I said.

"Is there a problem?" our history teacher asked.

"None that I could detect, miss," I answered.

She narrowed her eyes at me and I gave her a sly smile before she turned around and I giggled.

Hunter looked at me and I looked back, widening my eyes as if saying what.

He just shook his head and looked away.

It was like Hunter and I switched roles. In a way. I was the bad one. And he might as well be the good one. I was becoming intimidating and just damn right, a bitch.

He was actually quieting down and changing his ways. But I saw it as bull shit. How could he change if he could never change for me, the girl he supposedly loved?

I mentally rolled my eyes at the thought. Whatever.

After that class was over, I rushed out immediately and raced into the girl's bathroom before smoking a cigarette in the stall. Hardly anyone used the bathroom here except to smoke. Every inhale and exhale were like heaven. At least Hunter was truthful on one thing.

Cigarettes were the shit.

"Damn... that felt good," I said.

Leaving the girl's bathroom, I quickly discard the evidence and get ready for next period.

I waited at the front, exactly like Kyle told me to, after school ended. I ran my fingers through my hair, waiting patiently (that may be a tiny white lie).

A couple minutes later, Kyle walked towards me. I smiled.

"Wondering where you were," I said with a laugh.

"I had classes upstairs. How I love stairs," Kyle said sarcastically.

I laughed.

"Where we going?" I asked.

Kyle held out his hand and I took it. I was nervous. We walked towards his car which was an impressive black Mustang.

"Cool car," I said.

"Thank you, m'lady," Kyle said.

I smiled. Kyle unlocked the car and I climbed in.

He followed suit and in a matter of minutes, we were making out. He started pulling down on my skirt and I helped him pull it down. I took off his shirt and he took off my shirt.

"You are beautiful," Kyle said as he kissed my neck.

I let out a tiny moan and ran my fingers through his hair.

I was such a slut. Sean was right. It was like he predicted the future or something like that.

Kyle was great. Amazing, even. But I tried to ignore the fact that it wasn't the same as Hunter.

After it was over, Kyle had dozed off. I know... who dozes off in the backseat after doing it?

I just left him and climbed into the front with only my bra and underwear on. I found my pack (finders keepers, bitch) of cigarettes and struck the lighter. Then I lit the end of the cigarette and put it between my lips before inhaling its toxic but lovely fumes.

The windows were open so a breeze waltzed in and blew through my hair.

If I was going to go down, at least I was going to go alone.
