"What is it?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

"I tried to forget about you, Lizbeth. Like how you quickly forgot about me. But I can't. I'm incapable of forgetting you. I know I'm in love with you, Lizbeth," Hunter answered.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for hurting you, Lizbeth. I didn't mean it when I said you were throwing away your life. I was just angry and irrational for you doing it. In fact, I thank you for bailing me out. I just thought that you deserved better. And you still do. I just hope I can be that better," Hunter answered.

"Slow down, man. Now you're presenting me with all of this. When you could've done it that day. Why now?" I asked.

"Because I came to my senses and stopped being so reckless. I want the old Lizbeth back. The one I know and love," Hunter answered.

"She's dead and gone," I replied.

"No. She's not," Hunter said, "She's in there somewhere. I know I fucked up. I know. But please. Give me one last chance. I promise I won't hurt you again," Hunter said.

"You think it's that easy? That you can just walk back in and expect to fix it. No. You can't! You hurt me," I said, biting my lip to keep the tears from falling.

Hunter came closer to me till our noses were inches apart.

"I know. I took you for granted. You were my everything and I hurt you," Hunter said.

The tears came. I wanted to hug Hunter and believe every single beautiful word he said. I wasn't sure what was holding me back.

"Give me one reason why I should forgive you and take you back," I said.

"I love you," Hunter said.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, turning around to walk away.

"I know you're still in love with me," Hunter said.

I stopped in my tracks and looked at Hunter. I was frozen. I didn't have an icy comeback or an insult. My mind went blank at what he said.

"Hunter...," I said.

His eyes lit up but he didn't smile because he wasn't quite sure.

"I can't," I said, shaking my head.

It was like a complete switch. It was like he died. His eyes went lifeless.

I didn't stay to watch. I just turned around and walked back inside the club to where Kyle was.

"Are you ok, Lizbeth?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah," I answered, wiping away any remnants of tears off my face.

Kyle sighed and I just looked at him.

"I like you, Lizbeth. You know that, right?" Kyle asked.

I nodded.

"But not the same way that he does. I saw the way he looked at you. He's still in love with you. I don't think he ever stopped. And neither did you. I was just a distraction. But I could never be him," Kyle said.

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"What I'm saying is that you are in love with him and as much as I really like you, I'm not going to hold you back," Kyle answered, looking into my eyes.

I was shocked.

"Kyle...," I said.

"Go before he does," Kyle replied with a smile.

I gave Kyle a quick hug before running out of the club.

Hunter was walking slowly away.

"Hey Grey!" I shouted.

He turned back around and looked at me confused.

"Has anyone ever told you your ass looks good in jeans?" I asked.

Hunter smirked before saying, "No. You're the first."

I walked towards him and bear hugged him. He hugged back and I started crying.

"I... I just don't want to be hurt again," I said.

"I promise I won't. I don't wanna lose you again," Hunter said, hugging me tighter.

I just cried some more. (I told you I had become good at it)

Mom was right. If you do love something, set it free. And if it loves you, it'll come back.

I let go of Hunter and looked at him guiltily.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"I should be the one apologizing to you. I ruined your life after this. I didn't want it to happen. But it did. And I'm to blame more than anything," Hunter replied.

"I wish things could go back to normal," I said.

"I dunno. You look kinda hot. Not that you don't normally look hot but I'm kind of digging the bad girl look," Hunter said with a sly grin.

"Why thank you, sir," I replied before blushing.

"How long has it been since we, you know, kissed?" Hunter asked.

"Um... two weeks or so. I think," I answered.

"Would you like to change that?" Hunter whispered in my ear.

"Just kiss me, you annoying hero," I said before leaning in to kiss Hunter. He kissed back and just like that, I felt the electric spark all over again.

"Love you," Hunter said after letting go.

"Love you more," I said, linking my hand to his.

"Impossible," Hunter said.

"Yespossible," I said before smiling.

I know it may seem like the end. But it's not. The last chapter is the next one so stay and read it. Its gonna have a surprise I'm sure you're going to love. So please read on.

Stay nerdy forever,
