After a long Monday of the usual taunts by Sean the Rapist, I climbed into Hunter's truck. I wanted to drive but Hunter was way too happy and I didn't want to bug him.

"Hey...you wanna go to the beach today?" Hunter asked.

"Yeah. Can I change though?" I asked.

"Yeah. No need for jeans at the beach," Hunter answered.

"You know, life's a beach," I said.

"True," Hunter said with a nod.

We arrived at my house and I quickly ran inside to change. Dad was still at school on a meeting so I didn't have to answer any questions this time.

I ran upstairs quickly and almost tripped trying to get into the closet.

"Jesus," I muttered.

I walked into my closet and saw a white t-shirt with a cute cherry print on it. And just like that, I grew the craziest idea ever.

I grabbed scissors from the bathroom and cut the shirt into a decent sized crop top. I then found denim suspenders I clipped onto my shorts. I can't believe I forgot about my suspenders.

I slipped onto my shoes and put my hair into a ponytail.

I ran back outside and Hunter was leaning on the car door, smoking a cigarette. I sneaked up behind him.

"Jesus Christ! Hey, you look nice," Hunter said.

"Just nice?" I asked.

"I don't want to scare you by telling you the real answer and sounding like a real creep," Hunter answered.

My mind immediately reeled back to what Hunter told me the other night about getting girls drunk just to have sex with them.

"Probably the right thing to do," I said before taking his cigarette away from him.

"Hey!" Hunter argued.

I took one large puff before exhaling it out and stomped on it.

"Lets go, daddy-o," I said, climbing into the passenger's seat.

I didn't even bother arguing with him about driving.

"Any reason for this out of nowhere trip?" I asked, popping the p.

"Sammy arranged it actually for all of us to hang out. Her, Trish, and Mike," Hunter said.

My jaw dropped.

"What?" Hunter asked.

"If I had known everyone was going to be here, I would've worn something a bit more conservative," I answered, feeling like a gigantic ho.

"It's ok. It's hot outside," Hunter assured.

"Says the guy in the leather jacket," I said with an eye roll.

"I don't mind. It makes me look hot. In more ways than one," Hunter replied.

I could never stay mad at Hunter. I smiled.

"I see a smile," Hunter replied.

"Whatever, jerk," I said.

We arrived at the beach about ten minutes later and I saw another car.

I sighed before climbing out and following Hunter. I pulled down on my shirt like crazy but it kept on rising up so I just gave up.

The trio were all sitting around, talking while the radio was playing.

"Hello bitch!" Sammy exclaimed, jumping up to engulf me in a bear hug.

Trish followed suit. But after she hugged me, she folded her arms across her chest and gave me a stern look.

"What'd I do?" I asked.

"You know exactly what you did," Trish answered, "Multiple times."

"No I don't," I said, confused.

"I considered us close. Aren't we close?" Trish asked.

I nodded.

"Then how come Sammy finds out first that you and Hunter fucked?" Trish asked.

Hunter had been drinking water so he spit it all out once Trish said that.

"She snuck into the room. I didn't tell her anything," I said.

"A-ha! You admit it. I didn't know. Sammy told me but I didn't believe her. You little ho. Tell me everything," Trish said.

I looked at Hunter who only hid his face in embarrassment.

Sammy and Trish dragged me away and I mentally cried for help. We were farther away from the guys like on the opposite side of the beach.

"You're glowing," Trish said.

"I am not," I said stubbornly.

"I see it. Whether you see it or not. He really likes you. Well, more than likes you. But you catch my drift. He's never done that with any girl. Ever. Do you love him?" Sammy asked.

I bit my lip and blushed before nodding.

"You're so cute with it," Trish said.

"Am I really glowing?" I asked, curious.

"Yeah. Its creepy but cool at the same time," Sammy answered.

"Leave it to Samantha Grey to say something really stupid," Trish replied.

As Sammy was about to open her mouth, Trish covered it. She leaned her head as if she were listening to something.

"Oh my God! Our song is on!" Trish exclaimed.

She jumped up and ran towards the radio. Sammy and I followed suit.

Trey Songz's "Slow Motion" began playing and Trish started dancing.

"Mmhmm, gurl. This is the shit," Trish said.

Sammy laughed as Trish began twerking. Mike covered up his face in embarrassment.

"Don't judge my twerk unless you want to die," Trish said.

"You wouldn't kill me, would you?" Sammy asked.

"Never," Trish answered before kissing Sammy on the forehead. Sammy jokingly swooned at that and I giggled.

"Am I now the laughingstock of the group?" Hunter asked.

"You always have been," Sammy answered.

"Ha. Very funny. What did you say?" Hunter asked, looking at me.

"Nothing. I swear to God," I answered.

Hunter narrowed his eyes and I did the same right back.

"You two are cute. I wish I found a serious girl," Mike said.

"If you stopped fucking hos all the time, maybe you could," Hunter said.

"Straightforward. I like that," Mike said with a nod.

"You're so dumb," Hunter said.

"Thank you. Now let's all dance," Mike replied before laughing.

We all got up and danced. Between Sammy and I, we were the worst dancers.

But that didn't matter. I finally had friends. Cool and fun friends at that.
