Lizbeth was excessively quiet during the car ride, I knew that share car with me wasn't her favorite activity but she agreed so I was happy. She kept looking through the window so I guessed she was just thinking.
I would have never ever imagined that I would see that amount of people at the school on a Saturday. How many naive people together... all these pathetic attempts for earning money to pay the trip to that game of the team was just for them to show off, do they really think that if they needed money their parents wouldn't pay the whole hotel if it was necessary? Lizbeth had explained to me several times that the school didn't want to accept any donation and wanted the team to work for getting what they wanted but I still thought they just wanted to show off.
"Stop with the long face..." She sighed. I was so busy hating being here that I didn't realize she was talking. "I'm the first one that would have preferred to be somewhere else doing other things but see the good part... We are helping those in need." She said with a smile on her face though I had realized there was something wrong with her.
Today Lizbeth looked a little like me, she looked a little dead. Though just like me she still looked pretty, even though she had a tired look and slight dark circles under her eyes.
"In need of attention." I whispered still mad with the world for being forced to watch that scene. "C'mon look at them... they aren't even wearing a swimsuit, just their football uniform pants so ladies can drool over them." I complained about the football players knowing the scene of the cheerleaders wasn't any better, they were wearing the top of a bikini and their cheerleader skirts while they played with the hose.
Actually Lizbeth's friend was soaping her boyfriend. I almost throw up when I saw how happy they seemed playing with the soap... but I almost rip off Quentin's throat when he kissed Olive while looking at us, at my black sheep for being specific.
"I think they are hot." Bryony let out and my neck cracked as I jerked my head toward her, disbelief on my face.
Hot? Those... I don't even know how to call them. I was hot and the rest were just failed attempts to reach me.
"Wow... you really need some sleep... It's starting to affect your eyes."
Lizbeth crossed her arms looking at me with a smile that didn't match the rest of her face.
"You don't say the same about the cheerleaders because I'm around." She ironized.
She was wrong in that and I was going to prove it.
"That's not true, look." I faced again the direction where the cheerleaders were 'working', getting Lizbeth to do as I. "Your friend Olive is very hot though I'm sure that skirt will fit you better... but she's dating Quentin so that made her be six feet under." I frowned thinking about how repulsive seemed everyone who has gotten in Quentin's bed for their own free will.
"Why would the skirt fit me better?" She interrupted me.
"Because your but is better than hers." I answered what was out of the question and continued where I had left off. "Beverly young is also very hot though today it looks like she ran out of makeup, that or those intense black circles under her eyes are part of the uniform." I mocked, finding out Lizbeth was clearing her throat behind me.
I had to face her, just in case she was choking, but it turned out she was outraged.
"Black Sheep, don't take it personally..." I put my hand on her face going over her slight dark circles with my thumb. She closed her eyes. "Even the dark circles looks good on you." I whispered realizing I didn't want her to hear that... It wasn't fair that I shared my thought with her when she didn't let me see hers.
