~Bryony~

It was Thursday afternoon and I made the worst mistake I could. I went to school with Olive. Yes, knowing I had to go to Nathan's house later.

The problem was that Olive had cheerleader practices and I was trapped in my oh so-loved school until she finished. My father —and his— forced us to go home together.

My plan was going home, grab some things I needed for doing the project and go to Nathan's afterwards. Stupid plan knowing Nathan was also at the school but I really needed to go home first and I refused to wait more time than I should.

Olive was doing cheerleader stuffs in one side of the field while the football players were also doing their stuffs in the other, and I was reading so apparently calmed. Apparently because I would have preferred to do other things.

Well, that was before, now Olive and the rest of cheerleaders got inside the locker room, the practice was over, and I found myself running. Yes you heard right, I was running, running after a bunch of football players who stole my book and backpack, they refused to give it back to me.

After last talk with Sebastian in the grades I decided to put A Tale of Two Cities back in my backpack, mistake having into account now the book was hostage of a whole football team. I was really tired of faking I couldn't reach them so I stopped because 'I needed to catch my breath'. I could have easily taken my things from their filthy hands but the nerd who magically had super strength and super speed seemed like an old fashionable cliché to me.

"Aw, can't the library mouse take a run?" Laughed the moron on duty. Today's had a piercing on his nose and draws on his hair made with the razor. I can't believe people nowadays actually pay to get a couple of lines on their haircut. "A Tale of Two Cities..." Easton read the tittle of my book. "Dammit how old is this book?"

"Around five times your IQ." I let out without realizing what left my mouth until there was nothing left to say.

Duh, this shit of being a good and innocent girl was hard as hell.

"That if your IQ reach 32.4 of course."

In for a penny, in for a pound.

Easton looked at me furious while others laughed, I just embarrassed him in front of his friends. I couldn't do anything else than giving him the same look, I knew I was playing with fire, Easton Sandford wasn't known for being specially kind.

Right now you could expect that annoying vampire to appear and save me from the bullies, Sebastian always seemed to be around, but today it wasn't him the one I saw in the distance. The reddish blonde hair of my partner was shown when he took off his football helmet, he was sweaty from training and was heading towards me and the other neanderthals he called team.

"Give her her book, Easton." He asked kindly to his friend. Easton looked at him confused.

"Why do you care, dude?"

"Because they are together in a history project." Quentin answered from behind, I didn't even realized his presence until now.

Easton looked at me and then at Nathan with a naughty smirk, I have been in this school long enough to know that smirk was typical of him. Suddenly Easton got closer to the boy who had my backpack then took it from his hands and gave me both, the backpack and the book.

"Here you have, nerd." He smiled falsely, seconds later he turned to Nathan. "Nathan man, you could have said you wanted to screw this library mouse. You already got to seem like the hero."

Easton started walking and with him the rest of football player who now were heading to the locker room. When Easton walked past Nathan he stopped to pat him on the back with a strength that made him move from the place.
