~Sebastian~

«Don't pick me up tomorrow»

I was lying on the sofa when I got that message from Lizbeth, I thought about complaining but she told me the same yesterday and I agreed so I let it go.

"Sebastian?" Leoni called my name while she walked downstairs towards me. I got up when she reached me, I crossed my arms as I looked at her indicating her to continue. "Have you thought about what I told you?" Leoni sighed.

If I have thought about traveling to Greece to attend a 'party' full of vampires that even quintuple my age where they are going to kill a kid at her eighteenth birthday because they want to celebrate the live they are taking away from her? Yes, I have thought about it.

"I will go with you..." I finally agreed being sure of two things; I will regret my decision later and Leoni should be forever grateful for this.

"For Aphrodite's love thanks you!" She got excited as she hugged me, happy that I agreed.

"I know I'm the best friend in the world but I wouldn't like to die squeezed..." I joked when I stopped feeling ground under my Jordan.

"Sorry." Leoni giggled when she let me go. "There's something else I need to ask you..." Her expression suddenly changed to a serious one. "I need us to pretend we are dating." She said cautiously as she rubbed her arm, meticulously gauging my reaction to her request.

"You want me to pretend you are my girlfriend?" I clarified kinda shocked.

"I almost prefer if you say we are married or engaged..." Leoni added still nervous about the answer I would give. "You already know how's my family... as soon as I arrive my mother is going to try to find me a husband, a future king." She ironized the last sentence.

I wasn't going to say I find this unnecessary because I understood her reasons and that a woman as ancient as her mother would do something as primitive as finding her daughter a husband.

"But isn't your brother supposed to be heir? He's the older." I questioned.

"But nobody has known anything about him since almost two decades." She excused him, she always did. "Look, Meena's birthday is the 27th of November, we are supposed to stay in Greece five day, the whole thanksgiving holidays, we arrive the 25th and we leave the 29th. But if you don't want to be engaged to me then I guess I'm lucky you agreed in the first place."

Leoni looked down a little upset, maybe that face of lost puppy was just for me to say yes —never better said— but I guess it worked. I was going to tell her that we could be married if she wanted but I heard Ambrose was about to enter the house and I got a very bad idea that showed in my face as a smirk.

I ran at vampire speed upstairs towards Leoni's room for taking some of her many rings, by the time Ambrose opened the door I was already kneed in front of Leoni with a ring between my hands.

"Léonore Cristel Beauliue, I know pretending in front of everyone that we are just friends has been very hard, but the sex has always been so good that I think I started catching feelings... would you marry me?" I improvised a proposal holding back laughter better than I expected.

Leoni's shocked face simulated that of a future bride surprised to perfection. Just when I thought she would yell at me for such a nonsense she seemed to have seen Ambrose so she decided to follow the joke.

"Of course I will marry you, pretty face!" Leoni screamed euphoric and then she threw herself to my arms.

I hugged her while we were spinning, her feet off the ground and her head buried in my shoulder so it wouldn't be noticed that she was laughing her ass out.
