After I changed into the clothes that Chris' secretary bought me, I looked out the bathroom mirror and stared at myself. My hands were rested on the cold white marble counter as I recalled the events that happend this morning... when Chris tried to kiss me. Did he?
I got out of the bathroom and let out a yawn. I stretched my arms and looked for Chris. He wasn't anywhere in the room. "Hey Chris?" I called out. Where'd he go?
Walking to the glass bed side table, I found my purse with a note under it.
Hey sweet cheeks,
I'm sorry but I have to go. Son duties. My driver will bring you home. Keep safe and don't turn into pita. I don't like her. hahaha
P.S. I like seeing you with only my shirt on. -C
After reading his note, I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach that was more like toads wanting to get out of my stomach. I didn't know what I was feeling. And what does pita mean? I let out a big sigh once again and reached out for my purse and left the room.

"Helloooo? Earth to Hailey?" Tracey addressed, snapping her fingers on my face.
"Yeah? What is it?" I said snapping out of my thoughts.
"You're not paying attention to me again." Tracey pouted, looking down to her tray.
"I was paying attention, Trace. Believe me, I was." I assured. Now what did she say to me earlier?
"Really? What did I say then?"
I looked at Janice, Mace and Amy eying them, asking for help. The three of them looked at me, raising their eyebrows at me. Friends? more like traitors.
"Y-You, um, said that you, um... you... have... a... new... boyfriend?" I tried to answer, looking at Tracey.
"Really, Hailey? Really?" Janice retorted. I rolled my eyes at her and looked at Tracey once more.
"UGH! That's it! I won't talk to you anymore! I thought you were my best friend who would listen to me!" Tracey cried out, leaning in to Janice who patted her head.
"I'm sorry... I promise I'll listen if you tell me again." I assured her. She didn't bother to look at me.
"Trace?" I called out again.
"She just broke up with Jeff, Hail." Mace chimed in. I smiled at Mace for being the one to answer me.
"I thought you just met him like about... a week ago? or was it?" I asked, confused.
"Yeah, it's also been a week since you have been out from your thoughts." Amy smirked, sharpening her nails with her new hello kitty printed nail file.
"Yeah, is something wrong?" Mace asked, concerned.
So it's been a week since I haven't seen Chris after he left me at the hotel. I tried to text him, but there was no one reply. He said he had son duties, but I didn't think he was serious about it.
"It's Chris, isn't it?" Janice said, sounding obvious.
"Shut it, Janice. Maybe there's something wrong that doesn't involve Chris. Right, Hails?" Mace commented. But Janice was right. I have been thinking about Chris almost all the time.
"Really? Then what could be the main reason why she got her very first C minus on her Biology test then? Even Mr. Hayes didn't believe it!" Amy corrected. Ugh. The Biology test was easy, but I still couldn't believe that all I got was a C minus. Or did I really study for that test?
"Forget it. I didn't study for that test. I have to go. I have somewhere to go." I said, packing up books.
I left the cafeteria and headed to my locker. I dropped my books off and suddenly, my phone rang. An unknown caller.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Hailey. It's me, Jack Foster." the voice behind the call said.
"Oh, hey, Jack. I see that you still have my number. Whats up?" I asked, curious while leaning on the locker next to mine.
"I know you're busy right now, so I'll go straight to the point. Do you want to go out on a double date with me? It's been a long time and I would like to you know... do some catching up." Jack said.
"Double date?" I asked, trying to figure out what he was trying to say.
"Yeah, you and Chris and me and Jennifer. You're still together with Chris right?"
I stood frozen for a moment. How could I forget? Chris and I pretended to be a couple in front of Jack not so long ago.
"Hailey? You still there?" Jack asked sounding concerned.
"Y-Yeah, I am. Sure. I'll go tell Chris." I answered directly, not thinking about Chris being M.I.A. at the moment.
"That's great! I'll see you guys at Mi Amore restaurant Saturday at six. See you, bye!" with that, Jack hang up.
I would be in big trouble if I don't find Chris anytime soon.
