Beautiful Mistakes~ A Rick Grimes Love Story

After we got back from the run, Judith got to enjoy her new crib. We put it in our cell. Rick and I stood over her, as she giggled up at us. Rick smiles at me and reaches for my hand.

"I wouldn't trade what happened for anything." Rick says.

"What?" I ask.

"Everything that happened that got us here. The world falling into pieces. The dead walking...... I wouldn't trade it for nothing. Luna.... you gave me hope and put love back into my heart. You gave me Judith. You are my world now, and I wouldn't trade what we have for nothing. I don't regret anything that's happened, because now I have you and Judith." he says, grabbing my hands.

"I wouldn't either. Every time I look at you, it's like the first time. I fall in love with you, all over again." I say, looking into his beautiful blue eyes.

"I'll love you, until my very last breath. Even after that, Luna. I know I don't say it enough, but I do love you. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you." he says.

"I love you, so so much. More than you'll ever know." I say.

"I'm gonna be up in the tower tonight keeping watch." Rick says. "Can someone watch Judith?"

"Yeah, I can get Carol or Beth. Why?" I ask.

He pulls me in closer to him. "I think we could use some alone time. What do you say?"

"I'd say daddy was right." I tell him.

"I'll go on and head up there." Rick says. "Oh and Luna?"

"Yes baby?" I ask.

"Hurry." he says, pulling me in for one long kiss. He walks out of our cell and goes to the tower.

I find Carol and say, "Would you be able to watch Judith for me?"

"Of course. Everything ok?" she asks.

"Yeah. I'm just gonna go talk with Rick in the guard tower." I say, making it obvious that we definitely would not be doing any talking.

"Mhmm...." Carol says. "More like screw."

"Hey!" I say, blushing.

"You're face is as red as a tomato. Have fun and be... safe." Carol says.

"Yes mom." I say, taking off to the cafeteria.

I grab some berries and run to our cell. I smush them and run the juice along my lips, to make it look like I had lip stick on. I really missed my curling iron and makeup. I missed everything, honestly, but I wouldn't trade anything for the life I have today. I have Rick now, and Judith. I'm happy, probably the happiest I have been in my whole life, other than the day Sage was born. I love Rick, and I'm thankful for the life we do have.

I take a deep breath and head towards the guard tower. I walk up the stairs and my stomach is doing flips. I can feel my heart racing. I felt nervous. I don't really know why I felt nervous, I had slept with Rick many times before, but it had been a while, to say the least.

"There you are." he says, as I walk in. "You're so beautiful.... wow."

I smile and bite my lip. I was so damn nervous I couldn't even speak. "You're.... you're beautiful. I mean.... You're handsome. Well, you're hot as hell." I say, now blushing.
