Chapter 02 - Apartment

I woke up early for some reason. I don't know if I'm just excited or it's just that I slept early last night.

Nagstrech muna ko bago icheck ung oras the side table. 6:21 am palang and I don't care. Bumangon na ako nagtungo sa banyo para maghilamos tsaka pumunta closet para mag-impake ng mga gamit.

Inilabas ko yung malaking maleta saka ito binuksan at nagsimula nang maglagay ng mga damit at iba pa. Nang hindi na magkasiya ang iba ay napagpasyahang babalikan ko nalang ito kapag may libre akong oras.

Sunod akong nagtungo sa banyo para kuhanin at ayusin ang mga kailangan. Makaraan ang isang oras ay natapos na rin akong mag impake. Inilagay ko nalang din sa living room yung maleta at iba pang dadalhin para diretso na kapag umalis ako.

Ilang sandali pa ay nakaramdam na ako ng gutom kaya nagpunta na ako sa kitchen para imicrowave yung food na hindi namin naubos ni Kuya kagabi. While eating I decided to call the landlord of the apartment that I will going to use.

"Maam, everything's settled ikaw nalang ang hinihintay." sabi ng nasa kabilang linya. Napatango naman ako kahit hindi niya nakikita.

"How about my roommate po?" I politely asked because I'm curious. Yes, I'm not alone.

"Ah oo nga pala ma'am, nauna na siya rito noong isang araw pa."

That fast huh.

"Sige ho, salamat." Iyon lang ang aking naisagot dahil tapos na kong kumain at binaba ang tawag.

While washing the dishes I think of taking a bath before going to the apartment but then I realized that my things are already fixed. Ayaw ko namang kalkalin ulit tapos aayusin nanaman.

In the end, I decided to change my clothes nalang with some clothes that I will be going to leave here for a while and take a bath when I'm already at the apartment.

Napakawise lang.

After changing my clothes I hurriedly carry and pull my luggage and other things outside of my unit. I make sure that I locked the door first before going to the lobby.

For so many reasons I still don't know why I prefer a stranger's presence rather than my family or friends. Maybe knowing that they won't have a reason to judge me since I look fine outside will make me feel the comfort that I've been longing for.

While heading to my new place I can't help but smile, the stereo is also open, playing some Kpop songs. There's something I can't figure out on this day that makes my mood light up. Mas maliwanag pa sa sinag ng araw.

Half an hour has passed and I'm now already at the front of my new place. I saw a man standing near the gate, the landlord. I parked my car beside him enough to have a distance before going out.

"Maganda Umaga, ma'am." the man greet me once I step out of my car. I don't know his name so I'll call him Mr. Landlord instead.
