WELCOME BACK. WE MISHED YOU.
aww, thanks you guys...(that was your insane little writer talking to herself. -bows-)
Tiana’s POV:
Every day since Aidan accidentally bit me, he’d been hovering around me almost every waking moment, watching with barely masked concern to make sure I didn’t turn into another blood-sucking demon or a screaming lunatic or something, I didn’t know. By the end of the week, I was getting pretty annoyed. I was pretty sure most people thought we were… together or something. Shudder.
“How are you feeling?”
I nearly screamed and dropped all my books. Turning, I saw Aidan leaning against the locker next to mine. He was not there a moment before.
Stupid half-vampire perks.
“I’m great,” I said, dragging out the one-syllable word. “Just dandy, thank you.” I rolled my eyes sarcastically at him.
“Nothing weird happening?” He peered at me under his dark hair. “Like, dizziness, tiredness, strange bursts of heat… I don’t know, sudden urges of… thirst?”
I stared at him weirdly. “Is that what you feel?”
He frowned. “Nothing at all? That’s good.” He sighed, shaking his head as if clearing his mind.
I sighed as well. “Are you going to stop following me around like a personal bodyguard now?”
He shook his head slower this time. “I swore I would protect you.”
“You need to worry about yourself,” I said to him.
He shrugged. “You’re an easier target.”
“I am not weak!”
“I never said you were. But if you want to admit it…”
“Aidan!”
He smirked at me wickedly.
“Glad to see you’re feeling better,” I muttered. I shut my locker, and turned to him.
“I was always feeling good. Especially after that little taste of you…”
I gaped at him. Was he implying that… I, um, my blood… it tasted… good? I had no idea how to process this.
“You’re all blushing. That’s cute.” He leaned closer to me, green eyes right in front of my face.
I blushed harder. “Stop making me blush!”
“Whoa, what’s going on here? You’re in school, kids!”
We both turned to see Kieran holding his hands over his eyes beside us. He peeked out, familiar grin on his face.
“Hi, Keiran,” I said, thankful for the distraction.
“KC,” Aidan grumbled under his breath. He backed away from me reluctantly, throwing Kieran an annoyed look.
“Hello to you too, grumpy,” Kieran said cheerfully. When Aidan continued to scowl at him, he cocked his head. “You look different.”
We both stared at him. “What?” Aidan said finally.
“You do.” Kieran studied him some more, frowning slightly. “Almost as if… you’re glowing.”
“What the hell, dude?” Aidan was now looking less annoyed, more weirded out.
