Tiana’s POV:
Someone was shaking my shoulder, calling my name. My vision was taking its sweet time getting back. We’d pulled over on the side of the road.
“Tiana?” His voice was filled with worry.
“I’m fine,” I said automatically. Unfortunately, I was still shivering and breathing heavily, which kind of killed the effect. That ---- vision, or whatever it was, had freaked me out. A lot.
“What the hell happened?” Aidan asked heatedly. “I was driving and then suddenly you just keeled over ----which I didn’t know you could do in a car--- and then started hyperventilating and moaning and stuff and then you wouldn’t respond. This wasn’t like the other attacks. And it’s been at least 5 minutes. You freaked the shit out of me, Tiana.”
“I’m sorry,” I whispered, hiding behind my hair. I couldn’t stop shaking. Who was that in my vision? Why did I see that? What did it mean? That child… his name…
“Tiana.” Aidan softened his voice. “What happened?” He gently brushed my hair aside, so he could peer into my eyes. “Tell me. Please.”
I stared into his eyes, so green and beautiful. I could drown in them. They were like that woman’s eyes, yes; the stunning colour, but the gold flecks set them apart. These eyes were the ones that saw me at my worst, the ones that met mine no matter what. They were the ones I was familiar with. They stared at me with anxious expectancy. It’s been a long time since I saw worry in someone else’s eyes, for me.
I took a deep breath, suddenly dizzy. “I saw… a scene…” I closed my eyes, wincing at my choice of words. I sounded like some cheap, fake fortune teller you’d find in some downtown market or something. “Aidan. You… your mother. And… someone else, but he’s not your father. In the past, I think, because they talked funny…”
“What?” He was confused, of course. I didn’t blame him. I was past confused a long time ago. Now veering dangerously fast into insane. Or had I passed that road sign without noticing?
“That woman… she loved you…” I continued slowly, relentless. I had to let it out. I think I was losing consciousness as well. Or at least any rational thought. “She didn’t want to leave you. But she had to. She’s locked up, no choice… he took you away…”
“Tiana, what the hell are you---- Tiana? Tiana!” He shook me again, but I couldn’t hold on any longer. Maybe this blackness could hold all these spinning thoughts at bay, for now at least. I welcomed you, blackness… hahaha…
Aidan’s POV:
She fainted again. Or slowly blacked out. She laughed weakly just before she passed out though, freaking me out again. What the hell did she see, that made her ramble like that? It seemed to affect her so strongly.
I growled a bit, frustrated. I wanted to beat something up, but unfortunately that thing, her attacks, wasn’t something that I could just ram my fist into.
