i apologize for the sudden hiatus over the summer until now. but to be honest, i have absolutely no idea what i want to do with this anymore, i mean, i really hope tiana isn't being portrayed as this annoying weakling of a girl that has weird visions. what.
anyway, i hate high school, i hate heavy clouds, i hate dentist appointments (wisdom teeth, seriously?), i hate economy and money, and i hate how i hate hate. a snapshot of what i've been messing around doing? well... tumblr. manga. anime. getting fat. hiding. on the other hand, i got a haircut. also, boo Maid-sama ended but yay KuroBasu season two and Kyoukai no Kanata is pretty interesting too. (yesh, if you also an anime-otaku, talk to me. i'm going insane with this shit.)
HERE WE GO AGAIN. SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR THE CRAPPINESS.
It probably wasn't that far from where they first got in the car, but it certainly felt really long. Especially since I was sandwiched between a big buff vampire dude that looked like a stereotypical bodyguard, with the full on tux and dark shades, and Aidan, who was staring straight ahead with no expression on his face. I sighed softly, edging closer to Aidan slightly, hoping we'd reach our desination soon. My heart couldn't take it, and I was pretty sure everyone in the car knew.
"Alright, here we are," Tristan the golden vampire finally announced, stopping the car and unlocking the doors. He turned to look at us in the backseat, his face completely composed to the point I could feel goosebumps rise on my skin. He wasn't smiling, exactly, but he looked like he was amused just the same. "Are you prepared?"
I stared at him, wondering if he was serious or not. Aidan just huffed, opening the car door and getting out. I guess I took a bit too long following because the buff sunglasses vamp beside me cleared his throat and leaned towards me slightly. Squeaking out an apology, I scrambled after Aidan, even as Tristan's low laughter sounded out behind me.
I couldn't believe just a couple hours before I was on cloud nine, the best date of my life with a half-vampire I couldn't believe was mine.
I looked up when I felt myself being pulled against someone. Aidan didn't look down at me, but he didn't remove his arm either. I relaxed slightly, feeling just a teensy bit safer being closer to him.
We were walked into the apartment building, and I guess the nightguard had seen all there ever was to see or he just wasn't paid enough for anything because he didn't even bat an eye as our suspicious group headed toward the elevator. We got off on the thirteenth floor, which I pretended not to notice the irony of.
"Young Prince, I've brought our guests," Tristan said as he opened the door and ushered us in.
The room is pretty normal, though spacious and only filled with necessary furniture. It was dimly lit, and I had to blink to get used to the contrast from the brightly lit hallway. At first I didn't see anybody, but then I caught sight of a silhouette standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows across the room. The man turned, and I had to keep myself from gasping because...
Finally, after all these dreams and nightmares and visions... the real thing. The youngest prince of the vampire realm. His piercing eyes were unaffected by the dimness.
"Thank you, Tristan," he said, his voice surprisingly young and clear. But it was undeniably strong and contained presence. He stepped toward us, eyes trailing from Aidan to me. His expression didn't change, but I thought he was a bit surprised. "Welcome to my, er, place, I guess you'd call it. Please, sit."
I pulled Aidan over to the couches, because it was rude to refuse politeness when offered, and Aidan was doing a great job being a silent grouch. He finally tore his eyes away from the prince's gaze, crossing his arms and slouching on the couch.
