Tiana's POV:
Slumped over my desk, I tried to keep my eyes open. Why was it that of all the classes, math had to be my morning class? My brain hadn't even got the memo to wake up yet. Plus, my head was throbbing steadily and I felt like throwing up.
Someone poked me with a pencil. I looked up, scowling. "Oh, hi, Andrea," I mumbled.
"Hey, you okay? You look horrible," she asked, concerned.
"Um… tough weekend…" I managed truthfully. "I'm tired."
"Well, I hope you're not too tired for dancing," Andrea continued. "Because it goes until five."
"Say what?"
"Dance group! You tried out for it last week? Hello?"
I shook my head. "I didn’t make it. I got an email."
Andrea frowned. "No… you're in. Ms. M told me herself. And if you're not in, you wouldn’t have gotten an email."
I thought about it. "Yeah… the email was pretty weird. You sure I'm in?"
"Hell, yeah," nodded Andrea enthusiastically. "You were sooo good!"
"Good at what?" interrupted the teacher. "Care to share, Ms. Stevens?"
Andrea flashed an innocent smile. "Good at math, sir. Tiana really helped me with that question sir."
"Really. Then, Ms. Follow," the teacher turned to me. "I'm sure you wouldn’t mind answering this question?"
Andrea threw me an apologetic look, and I sighed. Thank god I did my homework, because I was barely awake. I gave him the answer, and he nodded, satisfied, and continued droning on about some formula.
When class ended, Andrea walked next to me. "So, you're coming after school?"
"Uh…" I grimaced. "I guess. But I have to find Aidan."
"Why, because he's hiding from you?" an annoying girly voice said behind me. Emma smirked, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
“Oh, shove off,” muttered Andrea.
