Tiana’s POV:
I sat in my seat in English, staring out the window. Like usual, I wasn't paying attention to what was going on around me. I was so out of it I didn't even feel like drawing.
Kieran sauntered in, a rare sight judging from the people that did a double take. He did this little hair flip thing that looked remarkably like that guy, whatshisname, Justin Bieber, if he’d dyed his hair black and didn’t cut it. I stared at him weirdly as he sat down next to me.
"What the heck was that?" I asked him.
"Oh, you know, the HairFlip, with capitals," he answered, smirking. "Don't you girls just love that? Thanks to JB, that move is finally recognized for the glory it has."
"Are you serious?" I shook my head.
"So, anyway," he said, serious again. "How's your nose?"
"It's okay," I assured him. "Stopped bleeding."
"Yeah," he nodded. "But. Did Aidan do anything? If he did, I'd ---"
"He didn't do anything!" I said loudly. Some people looked over, and I lowered my voice. "He ignored me, basically."
"Good," Kieran said. "Because you two were gone for so long, people started talking. But you wouldn't do anything, would you? You're too nice and innocent."
"God, again with the innocent thing?"
He shrugged, smirking. Then the teacher came in and we shut up. I spaced out again when the teacher went on about how to set up a paper in his class. Bo-ring. Kieran made rude comments under his breath, making the people around him laugh. He shrugged when the teacher looked at him.
I doodled in my notebook, some random pictures of lightning striking the classroom and me laughing in the corner. Har. Evil, morbid Tiana.
Then, of course, since I couldn’t even have a moment of peace, a sneak attack. The sharp pain exploded in my head, my vision blacking out for a minute. I dropped my pencil, clutching my head. I think I gasped slightly. Then it passed. I realized the class was quiet and looked up to find them all staring at me. I glanced at the board.
"Um... the sentence needs a predicate?" I said uncertainly.
Kieran coughed. "Close the blinds, Tia."
"Oh." I did as told, and sat down again as the teacher went on to show a PowerPoint. A minute later a note landed on my desk. Kieran nodded at me to read it.
What the hell? what happened?
I wrote back: Nothing, just spaced out.
you were clutching your head.
It's nothing!
Kieran snorted softly. "Tell me," he whispered.
I sighed. just a headache. get it occasionally.
a headache?
"Yes," I answered. He stared at me skeptically. Then he shrugged.
If ya don't wanna tell me, fine. don't lie 'bout it though.
