Chapter 33: Final decision

(July 15, 21xx) [Metropolis Cain labs]

I woke up on a lab table feeling excruciating burns on my body. I then realized what happened to me. The spears blew all of us up including their members and innocent people! Why! Why would they do this! I don't understand! Before I can continue this thought I hear a door close. I look to see who it is and it's Dr. Cain standing before me with a tired worried face. I solemnly speak "How many people died at Reeve street." Dr. Cain responds "4 police officers, 4 emerald spears, and 3 civilians. Fortunately, most people evacuated the area but that doesn't excuse the deaths that happens yesterday. You and Clark were the only survivors of the explosion. Fortunately, Clark survived with 2nd-degree burns and healed completely. On the other hand, when we found you you had 4th-degree burns which are impossible for robots to have. But you are healing faster than any auto repair system today's technology could ever accomplish. Right now you will be completely healed in a minute. Though this is not our biggest concern right now obviously since the decision for reploid continuation is today." I Goran "Wait... It's today?!" Dr. Cain says "Yes... Though the judge and jury might be in our favor after the recent incidents and increased support and reasons for reploids to stay. I would like you to join us at the Supreme court to go to the last hearing." I answer "Yes. Definitely."

"And that is why we are continuing reploid production although it will be under government oversight and the maverick hunter task force will have a more strict supervision".
Before we can celebrate a large group of spears comes in and gives their threat "If you think you're just gonna continue making the robots and think that it's gonna be fine and dandy. YOU'RE WRONG!! Don't you know how much pain and suffering these things have done! So you better destroy all these soulless robots or we will!" Panic swells up in my chest thinking about how to stop them from shooting the place up until I have an idea they have electronic plasma rifles which means that I can short them out with my electric spark special weapon! But how do I do it without hurting them and without them causing a shootout? Then I realize that during my time learning in the capsule I can set all my weapons to nonlethal. So I shoot nonlethal electric sparks at their guns before the emerald spears can set their safeties off and short the weapons. Then I shoot containment fields from the same special weapon to keep them from moving. Then the police come to take all of them to prison. I then recognize everyone was watching me and they were stunned to see what I did. I then tell them "My name is X I was the one who defeated Sigma and his army with help from my now deceased friend Zero. By copying the special weapons of my fallen enemies and using them to protect humanity and like to be the leader of the maverick hunters."
