Chapter 16: cold combat

When I enter the base laboratory What I see is... horrifying beyond belief. A large number of humans and reploids are frozen solid. After a few minutes, I decide to go to the next room. In the next room, I see twelve frozen reploids and at the center of the room, I also see chill penguin. I ask chill penguin "Why? Why would you do this? chill penguin answers "ha! No one is superior to anyone else. Reploids and humans ought to live in harmony and support each other! Isn't that what it means to have a peaceful world?" chill penguin gives me a weird look then says "In a 'peaceful world' where you walk alongside humans?! there's no way that humans and reploids are equal in any way! That's why I support Sigma's utopia for Reploids. A world where Reploids are truly appreciated. That world has no need for humans. To me, they're the real Mavericks! If you won't understand that then freeze to death!" chill penguin shoots ice at me, I dodge and weave the attacks as I can. I shoot three times at chill penguin. Two shots hit their mark. The third one, however, deflected from chill penguins' body like a tennis ball? chill penguin smiled and... "ahhgh!" chill penguin slid into me and a shower of ice shards fall on me. chill penguin victoriously said "I'll turn you into an ice sculpture later for sigma, just wait there. I get back up despite my aching body telling me not to. I charge to the fullest and shoot next to chill penguin. "Wah!... so you lived. Huh?" chill penguin said. I tell chill penguin "I don't want to kill you!" chill responds "Like you have a choice kid." ... I... I can't move! I'm frozen! But I can still see and hear. I listen to chill penguin "Tsk, if I give him something like these useless ice sculptures, it'll just be annoying, so why don't I destroy them all instead?" No... Stop it! I announce to chill penguin "I haven't been beaten or killed!" chill penguin instantly asked, "how did you break out of that ice!?" I answer "I don't know or care! I will stop you!" chill responds "Then freeze again! This time I will kill you!" Chill penguin tries to freeze me again. I dodge by dash behind them without them noticing. I charge my buster to the fullest... no... beyond my fullest! This must be the power part of the double gear! I unleashed a more powerful buster shot! I... I killed chill penguin! I... no! I didn't mean to! Even though chill penguin didn't give me a choice I still didn't want to kill them! I turn off the double gear. I walk towards chill penguin. I feel something in my head gem as I touch chill penguins corpse and my colors change to yellow and light blue! I change back to my normal colors blue and cyan. I then notice a cooling mechanism that controls the melting factory. I then teleport back to the hunter base.
