Chapter 11: survivors

(May 17th, 21xx) [Abel city commercial district]

I want to meet up with some if not all of the survivors to talk to them or listen to their loved ones. I also want to meet up with the families of the people who died yesterday and I hope to comfort them and learn about who died yesterday. I watched the news about what happened yesterday and it's about the survivors take on what I call the dig site disaster. I also feel tremendous sorrow that there will not be any reploid funerals today or ever. I don't understand why? Reploids are people too, sure they are made of metal but we can have reploid funerals. It just has to be different and unique. And I don't understand why isn't anyone morning for any of the reploids deaths? I now head to one of my destinations in the hope to get to know them. I feel nervous like I'm a mouse that sees a cat staring at me. But I want to go to them so I can help them and grieve with them for the lives lost during that horrifying day. I see them now and as I get to their vicinity I say " I am sorry for your loss. Can you tell me about the family member who died yesterday." They respond in a very vicious tone in their voice " Why should we talk to you about our son! You are just a machine! You can't help us! You don't have emotions! So don't try to make us feel better, you can't help us! Now leave! I feel... I feel like my heart is being stabbed by thousands of thorns. And those thorns are injecting poison into me.

I leave them alone as I walk away I hear someone say "Hey, wait up!" I see them. They have circle rimmed glasses, black hair, jeans, and a sweater. they continue "Hey, my name is Clark Kent. I'm a reporter for the daily planet. I want to get to know you!" I. Shocked to see that anyone would want to get to know me besides Dr. Cain. I say "Wh... why would you want to get to know me?" Clark responds "Dr.Cain is the only Doctor my parent's trust with. And because of that, I know him very closely. I'm also one of the first and only people Dr.Cain called to tell me about you and your background. I told him I want you to be one of the only people to know everything about me. That's why I want us to get to know each other." I answer "Sure! But not here, it's crowded and I want to visit Dr. Cain."

[Cain labs]
"I think you should go first, Clark." I say with wonder in my eyes. Clark responds by saying "Before I tell you my background I'm going to show you something!" Before I can guess, he started flying! Without anything to help him! As he comes down from the sky he said "The reason I can fly is because of my Kryptonian biology. That means I'm not from the earth! I'm from a planet called krypton! But the reason I'm here is that my home planet is destroyed when I'm an infant and I'm the only survivor. I crashed landed here on earth in Kansas. Then the Kent's adopted me as one of their own and they gave me everything. I've developed powers under the earth's yellow sun! That includes super strength, speed, as you can see flight, and extra senses. The Kent's also gave me the values of love and life. I love the earth, it's my home and it has everything and everyone I love and I want to make it better by reporting on the human side of things." I then told Clark everything that is going on with my life recently. We both went to Dr. Cain and talked until we had to leave.
