Chapter 24: the hunt for Sigma

(July 12th, 21xx) [Sigma's fortress]

I'm hollow even though I'm alive... I killed them all Light! You knew this would happen so why did you create me? Did you create me as the world's new champion? If so watch me fly! I rush deeper inside Sigma's fortress willing to destroy anyone in my way! I once thought that I can stop this war peacefully and have everyone stop the madness willingly. But Zero knew that they won't listen to us or reason. I can't take prisoners and have them face true justice. And they don't intend to be one either. I move to the next room to see the entire platoons waiting for me. I don't give them a chance to blink before I finished them all off. I'm in no mood to negotiate with them nor willing to listen to their hatred of humans After what happens to Abel city and, to Zero! I continue with my hunt for Sigma. I speed through many tricky areas that I have to be careful of traps. After what feels like an eternity of killing and avoiding traps I find where Sigma is but I have to teleport there to get to it and unfortunately I have to get the location from somewhere. I have no clue where I am and what place I have to go to get the location. Then I hear a voice through the speakers above me "Hello, X! It's nice to finally see you alive and well! I know you want to know about ma location and I'm happy to provide but of course, you need to find it first! I can fully say that I have a teleportation blocking device that prevents you from getting you to me so quickly. So you need to find and remove the card keys to disable the device. The keys are all color-coded and each is in a different room. Hope to see you soon! X!" Before I could say anything back the transmission ended. the clock is ticking I must move now! I use the helmet to scan my location and i found all four keys! I head to the first one, the purple key, which is in the powerplant.

[Sigma's fortress, powerplant]

I'm at the powerplant. the entrance is filled with gunvolts! I fire  storm tornado which destroys all of them. I run deeper inside to find a giant robot eye with a type of clear liquid that surrounds it. I also use storm tornado and the tornado removes all the liquid from it rendering it useless. I fire one more to destroy it. I move towards. I move to a door and pass through it. When I get through I see a primate-like reploid. They announced themselves "I am spark mandrill. I hate humans because they won't let me do what I want. But I hate the reploids that protects them more!" I respond "Ill defeat both you and Sigma after what you've done!" The fight commences as the lunge at me. I pick shotgun ice and shoot an ice capsule that when came to contact immediately froze spark mandrill. I copied spark mandrills power and pick up the key. I say with determination in my eyes "one down. Three more to go." I go to the next key, the green key, which is neck-deep underground.

It took me a long time to get here, it's almost morning. I see ahead of me a minecart I can ride. As I get closer I see bat machaniloids swarming me. I charge just enough to destroy all the bots around me. I get on the cart and ride it to the end of the tracks. I see the door and enter it to see the key on a data stand. I move towards it until someone crashed through the ceiling! They announced themselves "I am Armored Armadillo. I won't let intruders like you harm Sigma!" I reply with "I can't let people like you commit genocide!" they roll around bouncing around the room forcing me to dodge. When they finished I pick electric spark and fire. The armor around armored armadillo falls off. They try to fire at me but I ended the fight with more shots. I pick the key and head off to the next one, the red key.

[Sigma's fortress, underwater]

I rampage through the underwater section of this place destroying anything in my way like a torpedo to its target. I quickly get through the door to see my opponent. They babble "How dare you mess with my choreography for my dance! Well... Might as well practice on you. Prepare to die as my prey!" They fire torpedo's at me. I dodge and fire rolling shield at them till they can't move. I get the key and move to the last place. Which contains the black key.

[Sigma's fortress, communications tower]

I'm at the bottom of the tower and I have to wall jump to the top to get where I need to be. While I wall jump I have to avoid traps and destroy all enemies in order to get to the top. I barely got to the ladder before I was hit by a trap. I run to the door and met with a lanky reploid. That reploids speaks "I don't know you but I've been following you when you got here with Zero and I know every maverick hunter before I defected. You are going to be fun to fight against!" they warp all over the place. I scale the wall and fire homing torpedoes like missiles that they can't get away from. Allowing me to get their weapon and the last key. I drop the keys since I no longer need them and I teleport to where Sigma is.
