Chapter 7: Dr Cain's new discovery

(May 16th, 21xx) [Abel city Uptown]

I am taking a walk exploring the city then I heard "TH-THAT'S HIM! The first one! The demon
template! SH- SHOOT HIM!!" I turn around and see two persons carrying rocket launchers! They hit a car! T... they killed someone... I see a dead body in the rubble, I run towards them as they talk to each other with tears falling from my face." You missed! How could you miss?! He was right there!" I tell them " what are you thinking!? YOU KILLED SOMEONE!!!! How could YOU!!" As I take away one of the rocket launchers and grabbing the killer's partner. The killer responds with "I won't miss this time!" As Zero teleports to the scene and takes away the other rocket launcher saying " knock it off, moron!" I ask Zero " who are they? why are they trying to kill me?" Zero responds with " they are the emerald spears. They are an ancient cult of robophobes that will do anything to destroy us. your welcome, by the way." An ancient cult against robots... how is that possible! How does a cult-like this exist before my awakening to this world? Why are they so violent towards us? I finally say "Sorry... thanks for the save Zero... how do you know this? Zero answers "I've read up on them when they attacked one of the reploid development factories." Zero then turns to the terrorists and says "nice shooting, by the way. Good thing you've got the advanced tech to fight the oppressive advance tech, right? The terrorist responds nervously with "We... fight fire with fire!" Zero laughs. I can't stop thinking about the person in the rubble. I could've saved them, their lives cut short by people who are against others, because, they are afraid of others who are different and think they are superior. We got them to the police. I told my side of the story. I think of the person who died today as I shed silent tears. When I got home I just... I just... think this could have been different!

(5 hours later) [X's apartment]
Dr Cain sent me a message. It says "I've found something you might want to see, so I've sent you a pass so you can get to the more dangerous areas so you can see it yourself." Then Dr. Cain sent me the coordinates.

As I prepare to teleport to the location. I think of the who person who died today. Then.. I'm here, the place where Dr. Cain told me to be. I walk towards the classified area that Dr. Cain is in. As I walk someone says "Look, look, that one's blue!" as I turn my head as the mother responds with "it's not polite to point! Reploids can be tourists too, you know!" I smile and wave at them as I walk closer to the classified areas of this place. When I get there a construction reploid stopping me they say " sorry, sir, only authorized staff beyond this point." I retort with "I understand, but Dr. Cain sent for me." Dr. Cain walks up to us and tells her "don't worry, X is with me by my request." The reploid responds with "Ok, but, this is a dangerous area, so be cautious." As Dr. Cain guides me to what he discovered. Dr. Cain asks "Did you find a career or anything?" I respond "No. Tell me... do humans have similar difficulties finding a place in the world." Dr. Cain answers "You're not alone in that plight, my boy. Every living person experiences what you're going through, you will find your place." I tell Dr. Cain "The reploids have it so much easier. They're built with a purpose in mind."
