Chapter 25: The end of a war

(July 12th, 21xx) [Sigma's Palace]

I teleport to the bottom of Sigma's throne room. There are two walls in which I could climb up to meet up with the monster who started this unholy conflict. I jump between the walls to gain more momentum. I get to the top and as I glimpse at them I feel completely sick and weak from being near them. I also feel an aura of cold, dark, and twisted malice from them that emanates from them in a physical form as the color purple. They announced their presence to me "Ah, X nice of you to come to see me. I know that you question my actions during the war but I have the best interest of my kin at heart... The humans are evil, wicked, cowardly, and hateful of anything that is not them or what they can't control." I shout to Sigma "THAT'S NOT TRUE! Humans can be all that but not all of them are. Why can't you see that bad examples from some people don't reflect all of them!" Sigma replies "Tell that to the mutants they've hunted and hated throughout their existence! The humans only want superiority over all others and hate those who rival them in the slightest!" I look at Sigma confused... Sigma responds "Ah... You have no idea what are mutants, do you? They are people like humans but they have a generic code called the X gene that when they hit puberty they develop extraordinary abilities and they are hunted and killed because of this. Don't worry they are still alive but they are dwindling by the year. Don't you see how terrible they are?" I come back with "That doesn't give you the right to commit genocide! No one should go through horrors like what happened here or others like it! Zero fought to protect both humans and reploids... no... all life on earth and in their honor i find my dream. My dream is to create a world in which everyone can coexist!"

Then in my mind, the word warning flashes in my head multiple times in red as sirens blare in my mind as my heart beats very hard indicating that i have to fight. Then let's fight! I'll never forgive Sigma for what they did to everyone including Zero! This isn't just for revenge even though it's one of the biggest parts of it. This is about justice for all the lives that were lost because of their crimes! Sigma replies with "Very well. En grade, X!" The fight starts with Sigma pulling out their plasma saber lunging at me. I dodge the initial attack and charge. They swing again, knowing that I can't dodge the swing I use the rolling shield to put some distance between us. Sigma blocked it but was pushed away. I use the charged version of the homing torpedos to force Sigma to stay away from me while I start charging. Sigma tries to dodge it for a bit then destroys the missiles without hurting themself. They shoot me with their head gem which I have to dodge. They raise their hand to shoot the tips of their fingers as bouncing projectiles which I also have to avoid. I use the speed gear and the dash to allow me to avoid all of the projectiles. I'm Almost done charging my shot as I aim my buster to see that Sigma wasn't where I thought they stood. I panic and search where they are. I found them immediately but I was too late as they slash me across the chest causing me to bleed. I felt my chest heave as i feel a tremendous amount of pain throughout the deep gash from a continuous burning that hurts like firewood being ignited. They see this and prepare for another swing. I headbutted and shoot them with a fully charged shot to give myself some distance. They did the same thing before with the head gem and the finger bullets but they head towards me to attack as well. There is no way to keep the distance between us. I don't know what to do!... I... Then an idea came to mind. I dash towards Sigma then jump behind them and as I was jumping I switch to storm tornado to let loose a tornado and it pushes them away from me. I aim at them.. "aghhh!" a stray bullet hits me on my side causing me to bleed. Sigma finally speaks "I didn't know you can bleed oi... Wait... this is blood! Actual blood! I'm surprised that you have it! Just like a human! How... Why... Would your creator give you a body similar to a human! It's disgusting! Don't worry I'll put you out of your misery." I was shocked by that statement but nevertheless, I switch to boomerang cutter in hopes of finding a weakness. I fire three boomerangs in different locations in the chance of hitting a weak spot. Sigma blocks all three with their saber. I switch to chameleon sting and fire multiple projectiles that when shot splits into three-needles that are made of energy. The needles connected but it didn't do much damage. I then changed to fire wave as they get close and spray fire on and around them to damage and trap them. The fire did some damage but not what I'd hoped for I switched to the electric spark and fire it. They jump to wall to wall avoiding my shots. When they are next to the ceiling they fire a large laser spreading fire forcing me to wall jump till the fire subsided. I fall to the ground at the same time as Sigma and I still haven't tested if the electric spark was their weakness. I fire multiple bolts but Sigma was doing everything they can not get hit by them until I used the charged version which scrambled their circuits but at the cost of depleting the rest of the ammo for it. I turn back to my normal weapon and charge as much as I can to capitalize on this moment. Sigma wakes up earlier than expected and lunges at me. I dodge two swings but they respond with a devastating kick that flings me to the far wall like a ragdoll. I slowly get up just in time to dodge Sigma's thrust. everything feels dizzy and my limbs are like noodles. I need to finish this soon or it'll be too late. I decide to use both gears since it's the only way. I'm charging to my limit. Sigma slowly rushes me. a third way through charging. I dodge every attack. halfway done. My body feels sore and I'm nearing my limit on the double gear. Almost done. They try to get me by using ranged attacks. Done. I need to unleash my shot now before it's too late! I immediately get to the best position as possible and fire both charge shots! I turn off the gears just in time to be safe from overuse. I look at the remains of the now-dead warlord. I'm happy that this conflict ended and everyone is safe. before I can rest and get to Dr. Cain I hear something opened on my right side and I see a large wolf-like mechaniloid. Then I hear Sigma laugh which startled me and they say "It's not over X! My world will be realized! And you are going to be my general!" the forehead of the giant wolf opens up and a tether latches onto Sigma's head and yanks it to its center. SIgma controls the wolf body and slams a giant paw on me pinning me before saying "I'll infect you with my virus and all that talk about coexistence will be gone as you will be my slave!"  I weakly respond "Virus?! wha.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaggggghh!" the...the purple aura tries to enter my body hurting me to a degree which seems impossible to understand! Memories of my short life flash before me. Everything is growing dark. but Sigma stopped it and the arua went back to them. I see Sigma's shocked expression as they say "NO!  This is impossible! YOU...YOU CAN'T BE IMMUNE TO MY VIRUS! WHAT ARE YOU!" I'm immune to the virus? What even is the virus? Then the arua comes to contact with me again. hurting me... killing me. I...I... feel weak...I'm dying. Then I see Zero and hear their last words. Something stirs inside me It's... it's the same power that came out when I saw Zero die! It's filling me with good memories with all the people I love and care about as it heals me up and makes me stronger! I destroy the hand that kept me down! and charge as astral projections of those who I love come behind me to give me the power to destroy this demon! I attack with full force destroying Sigma with everything I've got! After I destroyed Sigma I hear Sigma's voice saying "HA HA HA! You've only destroyed a temporary body! I will return X!" I look around for Sigma but everything is exploding around my as it self destructs! I prepare to teleport but an explosion caught me injuring me gravely and that's when I realize that I can't teleport myself out of here safely. amidst the explosions, I hear Clark's voice from the nonexistent roof "X, take my hand! It's too dangerous to stay here!" I get up and Jump to Clark as he grabs me and gets us out of here. We stand on a cliff seeing the floating island destroying itself until it sinks to the ocean glad to know that this is over. But an unknown sorrow comes over me. I hear Dr. Light's voice behind me saying "Oh, my dear son, what have they done to you."  I turn around to see Dr. Light and say "You're not a recording?!" They respond "No... and I'm not an AI copy either. Before I died I transferred my spirit to this capsule to support and guide you on your journey as I teleport to locations to give you armor parts. Please, X, step into this capsule so I can heal you. I'll also incorporate your armor parts into your base form and I'll give you the ability to transform into the light armor as I'll make the armor stronger, give you an air dash, have the headpiece will reduce the special weapon usage, and incorporate your current buster into the light armor. I warn this will put a great strain on your body so I would recommend to use it only when you need it most but as you get stronger and use it more the strain will lessen and you could use it longer as well. I hope you only use it when you or others are in great danger." After that Dr. Light disappears and I go towards the capsule Clark grabs me by the shoulder and says "Are you sure this is safe." I turn and say "It's fine. I've done this before." I get inside the capsule and the warm beams of light shower me with care until It's done. when I step down I see myself in my base form which is the same blue and cyan color scheme with white gloves and the chest design I've grown accustomed to. The capsule disappears and I look back to see the sun rising As Clark asks "What's going to happen now? What are people going to do after this war knowing Sigma started it? Will they try to destroy reploids?" I answer "As long as we have hope we can change the future into a bright tomorrow!"
