There truly wasn't much to do at the 12 Grimmauld Place, and Vega only walked around the place (more like tip-toed due to the portraits) and since Sirius decided to go down to the basement where Vega didn't want to stick around because of nasty looks Kreacher was sending her as well as the fact that everything was so mouldy it made her head spin.

Vega spent her time looking the place up and down to find something to occupy her. She wandered around the ground floor, finding a dining room at the end of the hallway. There was a dresser in there with various Black family crest and china that Vega had seen in some of the old pictures that Andromeda of her childhood.

However, as she soon realised, Vega found a family of spiders as big as saucers in the dresser. She decided not to deal with them and left to quietly head up the stairs to where the first floor was – it had a bedroom, bathroom and a drawing room.

This was also the floor where Vega was supposed to stay with Hermione and Ginny – but she hadn't moved in as it was still dusty and most of her belongings were at home. So, instead, she just entered the drawing room to have a little look.

The drawing room had the most – it had large windows that overlooked the street outside but covered with dirty curtains and a large fireplace that was shouldering two ornate glass-fronted cabinets, where Vega could faintly hear doxies so she didn't step close to have a look at the strange object in there. There was also a writing desk.

But none of those things had caught Vega's attention as an unexpected pain filled her head when she entered the room. She tried to chalk it up to the mouldy wallpapers and her eyes fell onto a tapestry that covered an entire wall, showcasing –

The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black
Toujours Pur

It was a very old tapestry, faded and gnawed at locations by Doxies or other such creatures. Even so, the golden threat with which it was embroidered still glinted brightly enough to show Vega a sprawling family tree dating back to at least the Middle Ages.

A family that Vega was also part of.

Vega's pale grey eyes moved along the length of the tapestry, looking for where it ended. She found Sirius at the very end, as the third of his name, but his identity was charred – as if it was blasted off. She realised why when her eyes fell on his cousins and found that her aunt Andromeda's name had also suffered an identical fate.

No information about Ted or Dora was mentioned – but right next to Andromeda, her sisters both had their marriages and children listed. Even Vega and Rigel. She stared at her name, reaching over to touch it. She frowned deeply at it.

Why was her and her brother's names not blasted off?
Did the person responsible for this thought they were just sacrifices?
For the Greater Good?

It was obvious to Vega because both her and her brother were listed to have died in 1981, when they were barely two years old. Yet here she was, Vega, somehow still alive due to some freak accident. She grimaced at her parents' names and turned away. There wasn't a single part of her that was thrilled to be mentioned on –

En Stirps Nobilis et Gens Antiquissima Black
Behold the Noble Family & Oldest Clan Black

Floors second and third had nothing much to do as there were mainly only bedrooms. She hung out on the fourth floor with Buckbeak in Walburga Black's bedroom and then went further up to fourth floor. It was the floor with Sirius's bedroom.

But there was another room there, and it seemed to be a bedroom as well. Vega curiously walked over to the bedroom door but it was jammed. It was then that she noticed something on the door and she cleaned it off to find a sign –
