Stefan and Klaus walked together.
"Quite the homecoming." Stefan says.
"I've been planning my father's funeral for a thousand years. In no version of it were these people invited, but you get the idea."
"So, what now? You stop running?" Stefan asked, looking at him.
"Now I reunite my family."
"Your family? You mean the people you cart around in caskets?" Asked Stefan.
"None of that matters anymore. Mikael's gone. Bygones will be bygones. Seems like the homecoming queen still walks among the living... which leads me to believe Rebekah isn't here. Where is she?"
"I have no idea. I thought she was coming with Matt." Said Stefan.
"Oh, be honest now, Stefan. Where's my sister?"
"I said, I have no idea. Now, would you like me to take you to your father?"

Stefan looked around and saw Ellie standing on top of the stairs and signing.
"All right. Perhaps there's something in it for me. I want my freedom back from your compulsion. I want my life back. I want to sort out my relationship." Said Stefan.
"Oh, you want your freedom? Once he's dead and his weapon destroyed, I'll grant you your freedom, and you can get back to poor Ellie. It would be my pleasure to give it back to you. She must miss you terribly."
Back at the boarding house, Damon poured himself some blood. Mikael walked in...
"Did my daughter go to the dance?"
"Yep. You missed the photo op. Did you get the stake?" Damon asked.
"I did."
"I'm not gonna take your word for it. No offence to your honour and all." Said Damon.
"None taken."
Mikael takes out the stake.
"Fancy. May I?" Damon asked.
"It's the only weapon on this earth that can kill an Original. So, I think I'll hold on to it. No offence."
"I'd offer you a drink, but Katherine tells me you're a vampire-on-the-rocks guy." Said Damon.
"Well, technically, you could still offer."
"Why feed on vampires? Don't tell me it's the smooth aftertaste."
