Stefan and Ellie has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus' family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon and Elena that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and Ellie and gets his family back. Tyler continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well. after a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy's attitudes and, ultimately, his safety. Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell, who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal. While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena and Ellie delivers news that truly shocks him.

She saw the witches' house in the distance and walked in, opening the door.
She heard the voices whispering to her.
She stopped at a corner and walked down around it. She kept walking, and the whispering continued.
She stopped at the basement door. The whispering stopped, and she opened the door, looking down the stairs to the basement.
She walked downstairs and turned the corner slowly, staring at the coffins.
She walked over to one of the coffins and opened it, revealing Klaus. She saw him holding Ellie's necklace. She heard the floorboards creaking behind her and turned to see Ellie.
She went to take it when she woke up in bed.

The next morning, Elena went for a run...
She ran down the street, thinking of how her own twin could betray her. She just wanted to know where she was. There had to be a reason for her to betray them.
She stopped, stopped her watch, and panted. She heard someone running behind her and continued running.
She ran even faster and stopped at a tree, seeing the man no longer running behind her.
She turned around to continue her run home when she ran into someone wearing a blue hoodie.
She gasped, and he smiled, removing his earphones.
"Excuse me. Should have been watching where I was going."
"Don't worry about it." She said.
Later, Elena met up with Bonnie at the Grill...
"I feel like I'm going crazy. I'm totally paranoid all the time. I don't know where Ellie is. No one's seen her since she and Stefan betrayed us."
