Despite all that has happened, Caroline is determined to see that Ellie, Elena, Bonnie, Matt, and Tyler all enjoy a traditional Senior Prank Night before the school year begins at Mystic Falls High School. However, when uninvited guests show up, it doesn't take long for the evening to take a deadly turn. Damon convinces Jeremy that he can use his new connection to the other side to help find a way to defeat Klaus. Finally, Klaus deepens his hold on Stefan and uses him for increasingly violent and dangerous purposes.
Later, the school looked empty and abandoned. There was a clanking sound...
Matt was in the gym lifting weights.
He heard the door open and close in the distance. He walked down the empty hallways.
He opened a classroom door that was in darkness. He jumped when he set off a load of mousetraps. He switched on the lights.
Caroline, Ellie, Elena, Tyler, and Bonnie were on the ground setting the mousetraps up.
Ellie looked up at Matt.
"Matt!" Ellie shouted, annoyed. "Do you have any idea how long this took us?"
"I guess you forgot about Senior Prank Night, huh?"

"Obviously. Clearly." Matt said, signing loudly. "Nearly had a damn heart attack."
"How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since freshman year." Said Caroline.
"Yeah, Matt. She has a point. And if Ellie, Bonnie, me, and Tyler are doing this, you're doing this." Elena says.
"And you need to reset all these mousetraps." Ellie says, crossing her arms.
"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this." Said Matt.
"Caroline's making us." Bonnie says.
"We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that will stay with us forever, and if we don't..." Caroline said.
"Create these memories, then what's the point of it all?" Ellie finished for Caroline.
Tyler chuckled.
"Go ahead and make fun. I don't care." Caroline says.
"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." Tyler said, walking out of the classroom.
Ellie stood up and walked towards the door.
"Hey. Where are you going?" Bonnie asked, looking at Ellie.
"If we're pranking people, the best person to prank will be Ric. I'm gonna go superglue Ric's desk shut and find a way to superglue all the books on the board. I'm making memories." Ellie tells them.
"I love you." Caroline says, smiling brightly.
