Later, Elena was standing in Stefan's room and was dressed for her and Ellie's birthday party...
Damon stood in his doorway, and Elena saw him in the mirror.
"Hi." She whispered.
"Hey. Where's Ellie? This is for both of your birthdays. I don't invite strangers into my house otherwise."
"Uh, she decided to get ready at home. Any news on Stefan?" She asked.
He shook his head. He picked up a photo frame of Stefan and Ellie and put it back down.
"I got you something."
She looked at him.
"I promised I wouldn't buy you anything. Don't worry, I didn't pay for it."
"You stole it?" She asked.
"No. I found it."
Elena looked down into the small box to see the necklace Ellie gave her.
"My necklace. I thought I'd never see it again." She said, grabbing it.
"Alaric found it in his loft. I figured you'd be happy to get it back."
"I am happy. Thank you." She smiled.
"You're welcome."
"Can you...?" She asked, motioning to the necklace.
"Uh, absolutely."
He placed the necklace around her neck, and she moved her hair out of the way for him to clasp it around her neck.

He held his arm out.
"Shall we?"
She placed her arm in his and signed.
They left the room and walked downstairs, where Elena saw how many people had turned up.
"Happy birthday!" A girl shouted.
Elena smiled.

"Thanks." Elena says, smiling.
They stopped in the living room, seeing that many people were barging into one another.
"Oh, God. Ellie's gonna kill Caroline." Elena says.
Not even a second later, Ellie arrived, and her mouth dropped open. She stared at the million people gathered around her.
