Chapter 1 - Hero

Once upon a time, at the very beginning of Eumava, there appeared light. This very light is the beginning of a big expansion of worlds and beings.

Beings from above descended on our very land, seven unknown figures.
One of them created life on the earth, he brought forth nourishment to the soil, to create nature.
Another conjured water and it flowed throughout the land.
The wind started flowing as the third opened its wings to distribute air.
Time started and everything moved, as well as the temperature and covered the land in ice, and it killed the living.
Two of the seven, however, produced heat and light, which melted the unbearable winter.
The last one created the first inhabitant of two Creatures, though he got bored and created more Creatures of different colors, shapes, and sizes.

And as if that was not enough, he gave them Ferals as pets or livestock. And as time flew by, the world we lived in, evolved and grew.

The Seven Beings returned to the heavens and left the Pillars of Creation, from which every Dusk, a new Astral emerges.

"Umm... Can I ask a question, Ma'am Mary!" I raised my paw to get her attention.

"What is it, Radiant, dear?" Everyone looked at me with anticipation.

"My Father told me I came from the Pillars of Creation. Does that mean that I can use magic?" The other students gawked, embarrassed, I hid my face with my paws.

I felt a paw on my shoulder and I took a peek and saw it was Ma'am Mary. With a smile, she says, "Yes, Radiant, I'm hoping for said magic you get, you will use it to save poor Creatures from the Darkness..." She walked back in front of the class and continued our lecture. With starry eyes, I daydream about the day of being able to help Creatures.

After a few more hours, we bid Ma'am Mary goodbye, and it was time to go back home.

"Papa!" I waved at my wolf father, who was leaning against a wall. "Papa!"

"Rad! My Son!" He runs to me and hugs me, "How was your school?" He asks while petting me.

"It was good, Papa! I learned about what Astrals can do!" I said enthusiastically while wagging my tail.

"Ohhh? Tell me what you learned while we're walking home. Hop on little light." As usual, he gave me a piggyback ride, while I told him about what happened in class.

We passed the riverbank, and into the thick forest. Papa told me that we had to be quiet when crossing this part of the road to not disturb the animals. So I whispered to him until we returned home. "Papa?"

"What is it, Rad?" He says while looking around and walking. He cautiously stopped in his tracks before he stepped on a dry branch.

"I know I asked this a thousand times but, what happened to Mama?" But, after hesitating for a few minutes, he answers, and walks over many more dry branches while clearing them off the dirt trail.
