Chapter 2 - A Lost Pup

When we came home, Father immediately taught the new kid how to read and write. While I was busy with homework and playing around with the magic, Papa taught me, "Yemewe." It translates to light, from the book my Papa wrote himself about different spells.

There are seven types of magic spells. These spells can be activated by pronouncing the name of the Being whom they created it.

The most often used name is Salinas, the fox. It has been said that she is the only woman among the seven stars that descended millions of decades ago. She purges the darkness with light, although her powers are only powerful on the days of Dawn. She was worshiped on the whole Eumava.

The second Being is Feront, the Wolf.

He used the raging flames to extinguish those who deserved eternal flame. He brought justice to those who were betrayed, robbed, and did other kinds of wrongdoings to their fellow Creature. He's brave, abrasive, and merciless. Those who don't follow his rules or have done bad things will face very extreme consequences.

Fire magic is also useful for fighting against Darkness, but Astrals that do use it might suffer burning themselves as they are not immune to the flames of the great wolf.

The next page explains about how Feront tortured his defying subjects. I frowned as I continued to read through my Father's book. "You okay there, Rad?" My Father said, looking over at me, sitting in the coach next to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Skipping over the page of torture. He looks away and continues to teach the red fox how to properly spell words of greetings and manners.

The third Being is Allure, the goat of time magic.

It's mostly about being able to rewind things and predicting the future. I don't find it exciting.
I think knowing what will happen next will bring forth monotony, although it may be useful for any other things, like reversing a broken vase.

However, something catches my attention, "Creating a loop to witness something good or bad in the future, present, or past."

"Uhmm... It's good to know, okay? So you can save people from Time Loops cast on them by naughty Time Astrals." It sounds like there's a lore behind this note my Father wrote.

I look back at the notes, "The spell can only be broken by interacting with these Creatures or Astrals. Telling them that they are in a loop will suffice."

"I-its not always bad. You could use it on a Feral that is going instinct, and you'll never run out!" My Father smiles triumphantly.

"I'll keep that in mind Papa." I said, flipping to the next page.

The fourth Being is Torga, the whale, and, of course, he can manipulate water.

The first page says that this is used to heal the wounded or speed up the healing of those who are wounded physically, meaning, it's useless to Astrals as we do not bleed.
