✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Aidan's POV *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

"Come on! Again!" I'm trying to hype up Radiant, "Stand up! Even if it hurts so much!" I say that but, he can barely stand at all. Maybe, I went too far with my attacks.

He grunts and groans and successfully gets into a defensive stance. "Come at me!" I like this fox's spirit.

"Enough, lower your sword." He collapses to the ground, landing on his back. "I'm impressed with the last stand you did. Other Astrals couldn't stand after all the beating they got from me."

He's still catching his breath, what am I doing? I ran back into the castle to get him water. When I came back, someone had already beaten me to it. I can't identify who it is, he has a skull mask. "Thanks, Jamis."

I decided to join my pupil acting I don't know anything. "Hmm? Who's your friend, Radiant?" I inquire while looking at the stranger's purple eyes.

"Oh! I forgot to introduce you to everyone, I guess I can start with Aidan first." He stands up, "Jamis meet Aidan, my mentor, Aidan this is Jamis, my boyfrie- I mean friend!" He laughs awkwardly.

I can already tell what he was about to say, and if I could see Jamis's face he might be beet red. "A-A pleasure to meet you, Sir." He extends his arm for a handshake. It's trembling.

"Pleasure's all mine, your friend Radiant is a very interesting fox. I hope you don't hurt his feelings." I let go of his paw. He looks at Radiant and gives a nod.

"I will protect him." I laugh.

"I'm sure both of you can protect yourselves but, that's not bad either. But, I want to ask you, Jamis. Do you know how to use a sword?" He looks at his body. Come to think of it, it's a silly question since he looks very puny.

"I did learn some moves but, never had the time to use them. I mostly count on spells."

"Hmm, care to show me?" He gets up and takes off his hat and cape. Then he does warm-ups, I guess is well-trained. "Ready?"

"Yeah." I walk to the right while he stands on the left. He picked up Radiant's sword. "I'll borrow this for a moment, can I?" Radiant gives a double thumbs up. His stance is different from the fighters I fought before.

He's standing up straight and pointing the sword at me like it's a rapier. "Here I come!" I charged him and he evades, "Not bad."

"My turn." He crouches down and jumped high in the air and strikes from above. The light from above briefly blinded me but, I managed to block it. He then used my blocking sword to push himself back. "That's the cheap trick of my mentor before."

I laugh, "Guess the old geezer is now retired?" He chuckles.

"He is." He lunges at me, I narrowly dodged it, then he quickly tried to trip me. If I didn't have wings that would have worked on me. "Oof, I forgot about those things. You never seem to use them."

"I can only use these to fly, I don't think anyone would be staggered even if it's this big."

"Well..." He jumps up and summersaults and bonks me in the head with his tail!

"Ow! How come?! Your tail looks fragile!" He rubs his tail.

"I know but, you wanted to see my techniques." Ah, so that hurt him as much as it hurt my head.

I laugh, "You're unbelievable." He shrugs. "Let's end that there, thank you for showing me these new ways to fight." He runs back to Radiant.

"Sorry, I think I dented your sword." Radiant shakes his head.

"Don't worry! It's just a sword!" They are a cute couple, well, time to leave them alone.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:* King Arthur's POV *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

A growl leaves my snout, "It disgusts me to see this Radiant having fun. He doesn't deserve love. Neither of them!" I kick a boulder and launched it hitting the cave's ceiling. I breathe in slowly in an attempt to calm myself down. "Just a few more days, I can't wait to kill you!" I cackle.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:* King Denmark's POV *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

"I can feel it getting closer, Nora." Unnoticeable black clouds have formed at the far end of the mountain pass. Nearing closer.

Nora, my wife held my paw while we witness the storm that are about to sweep in. "We might not have much time left. We can only hope that we survive this conflict."

I shake my head, "I don't think we'd be able to. Even with a million trained soldiers, no one can physically injure the dark." Neither I nor Nora can't beat single darkness, "We are hopeless in a fight without light magic. We can only support Radiant's back."

"I'm scared too, Denmark, the child has yet to even master the spell." A thunderous noise was heard. They were running out of time.

"Either way, we're too late to foresee this tragedy. I'm sorry, Father. I failed you." I look up in the bright sky until it gets blocked by mild clouds.

The bells rang and the inevitable had come. I grab my cloak and get ready to join the battle, "My love!" Nora calls out to me, "I love you..." I return the words she spoke, maybe this will be the last time. Though if it's possible to be resurrected, I won't hesitate to have that luxury.

"My King! They're here!" Reaching the throne room, my messenger immediately made it known that we will soon face a force we cannot bear to fight.

"Call all the soldiers and evacuate all the citizens!"

"Yes, sire!" The lynx runs off as quickly as he could.

"Please give me strength, oh, Salinas," I beg.

"Mom brought you, your strength, my King." I hardly paid attention to what was around I didn't notice Radiant was already there.

I chuckle, "Then, are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be!"
