Chapter 6 - Borned Legend

Ma'am Elle has gleaming eyes instead of shock. "I can't believe one of my students is born with such a peculiar ability." The paper slip then returns to its original form instead of disappearing like everyone else's. "And automatically repairs apparatuses." I sat back in my seat everyone still staring at me. Though Blazer is smiling.

"I do not doubt your abilities brother. Since you easily made me just by imagining me." This doesn't help get attention off me, the only Astral who doesn't stare at me is Ragire. He's still distracted looking at the lion that is staring at me in awe. "Give yourself the credit. It's hard to make a perfect sentient creature, let alone an Astral like me." I feel my ears flush.

"Well, now that we know everyone's affinity, we will take a test to know what you all are capable of doing. Use your best spells!" She then told us to arrange the chairs in the corners of the room. "We will start with your powers to destroy things." Elle places an apple in front of the class. "Let's start with Cade. Show us the creation spell you learned to protect yourself."

He looks nervous but he still walks in line for the apple. He raises his hand in front of him, aiming for the apple. He whispers his incantation, and the room suddenly felt like it's getting swallowed in darkness, the smell of burning trees, the smell of rotten animals... "Numtal: Isamaxim-..." I stop him before he says the last letter.

"STOP!" Everyone looks at me, "T-the atmosphere suddenly turned very dark... Can you at least do something simple maybe?" I rub my arm then he nods.

He whispers his incantation again, this time the darkness is barely felt but, it's still there. "Numtal: Isamaxima." A knife drops on top of the apple. Everyone applauds him, which turned his nervousness into confidence and he smiles.

"Great job, Cade! Next is Ragire, can you show us-" he didn't waste his time listening to the teacher or for a new apple to be put out front.

"Femamimye!!" After the fire envelops the apple, instead of it being just burnt, it exploded!

"Allure: Wumex." Blazer uses a halt spell. And the incoming pieces of apple projectiles stop. "Allure: Lamumap." He used a rewind spell while using the halt spell?!

"Dude, calm down, we're still doing the basics." I jokingly say to him, which in turn he smiles. The apple then turns back to its original state, even the knife is gone.

Everyone soon applauds my brothers. "Very great job. Now let's see, Radiant's." I took a deep breath and step into the middle. The pressure of expectation is on my shoulders. But then Blazer and Ragire place their paw on my shoulder. Blazer on my right and Ragire on my left, and this gives me enough courage to pick my best spell.

"Here goes nothing." I recite the incantation I used before, "Against this apple, may those who loved and cared for me, give me strength." I open my eyes and see that the room is getting brighter. "To cast the object in front of me, be banished, and return to where it belongs." I strain to say the last word.

"Salinas: Romeqedegie!"
A soft light shone through the windows, sparing the roof. The apple lights up and banishes.

Everyone applauds my accomplishment. "Can I ask where it reappears to?" Lustre asks.

"Probably back to its tree." Our advisor looks oblivious to my best skill.

"I heard that saints of Salinas are the only ones who can use the judgement spell. How did you even learn that incantation?" I shrug.

"It just comes and goes." She squeals.

"A prodigy Astral! I am so honored to teach you spells!" Everyone laughs at how our advisor is acting. She's quirky but, fun. "Well, the next one is, Lustre the Lion Prince." My jaw drops, a Prince? Everyone looks as shocked as I. Except, Ragire.

"Fire, go pew! pew!" Ragire says to Lustre which reassures him that everyone is just surprised and won't judge them.

"Okay, I got this." He cracks his knuckles and does a warm-up. "May those whom I inflict this spell, face suffering, and may they be crushed under its pressure!!"

He crouches down with one paw on the ground and the other in the air, ablaze in flame.

"Feront Gargan!" Wait two spells at the same time? He slams his raised paw to the ground and it shook the earth and opened ground fission under the apple.

"Imafelam!" As the flaming ground ate the apple, it closed in on itself. And everything returns to its normal form. Like nothing happened. Everyone applauds as he stood up and pats his pants off even though there was no dust. Maybe a habit.

"Ground go, nom noms!" Ragire says and Lustre seems to relax and he pets Ragire's head.

"Haha, yes." He goes back next to Hannah.

"You did great." She says.

"You saw that did you?" She giggles.

"Next is, Princess Hannah." Everyone applauds her and she bows.

Then takes out a bottle from her dress. And proceeds to control it without any incantations. Some droplets went to her eyes, maybe it has meant for her to see. And then she attempts to calculate how to strike the apple. With one swift motion. A slash of water cut through the apple and almost had gone through the wall. "I must have put too much power to it." Our advisor chuckles.

"It is alright young lady, having a room for Astrals would result in destruction sometimes." Then Blazer cuts in.

"It doesn't need to. Allure: Lamumap." Then the wall regains its thickness and the slash of water goes back to Hannah's bottle.

Then after all the students showed their power, the time came for class to conclude. "Thank you for coming to your class today. We will continue our class next week. May you all have a great day." She waves at us while we all go home with our parents. I and my brothers tell, Papa how our day had been. Ragire said that he has a crush and the same goes for Blazer.

Maybe, I will be alone as soon as I became happy with my family. Someday, we will move away from each other. And they might forget me but, I will cherish these few moments, until then, I will have fun with my family and friends.
