Khione's POV

We made our way back to our home. I decided to go back to Giovano's household with Arcane rather than go in one car with my dad.

Bukod sa ayokong makasama si Papa, mas mabuti na ring luyuan siya dahil hindi ko maatim ang mga desisyon niya para sa akin.

"Dad would undoubtedly continue to do that until I am no longer able to breathe," I snarled indignantly.

Arcane took my hand as I walked out of his car, saying, "Don't worry, I'll talk to my parents about it."

For a quick chat, he headed to my father's office.

I'm not interested in making an effort to smile around my dad.

I'm exhausted over what happened at the party earlier and just eager to see my daughter after a long, exhausting day.

"Kimiko." I called out after knocking at her room's door. "Still awake?"

It used to be my room but since dad doesn't want to provide a new one for Kimiko, I decided to fill this one with her stuffs.

Hindi rin naman kami masyadong pumupunta rito.

Depende nalang kung may misyon si dad na medyo matatagalan at kailangan ko ng magbabantay at mag-aalaga kay Kimiko.

I will always be grateful to Dante because, despite his busy schedule, he constantly helps us.

Dante, who is 4 years older than I am, has been my father's right-hand man for the past 10 years. also, Kimiko's babysitter.

Naabutan kong nakaupo si Kimiko sa side ng bed at humihikab.

Nakaharap siya sa pintuan na para bang hinihintay ang pagdating ko.

"Hey sweetie." I carressed her cheek before hugging her. "I'm so sorry about earlier."

"It's okay mom!" I was kind of shocked that instead of being sad, she seemed to be happy. "I had fun ealier!" She exclaimed.

"How about.. we go out together this week?"

Her eyes lit up a bit, "A date?" She asked happily.

I chuckled. "Yes baby, a date." I was about to ask her more questions, when she yawned again.

Mas pinili ko rin kasing dito kami dumeretso, ayon kay Dante, narito rin si Kimiko ngayon.

"Mommy, I'm tired and sleepy na po." Kimiko yawned.

"Do you want to sleep here?" I asked her.

"Yes mommy."

"Okay baby." Sa tingin ko ay dito na kami magpapalipas ng gabi.

I remember waking up at midnight when I heard some car noises outside. Dahil gabi at tahimik na,   mas tinalasan ko ang pandinig at nakumpirama na may dumating ng bumukas ang pintuan sa baba.

"Sleep well, Kimiko." Pag halik ko sa noo niya.

Ilang saglit pa ay tumayo na ako bago kinuha ang roba at tahimik na naglakad palabas.

Wala ng katao-tao dahil paniguradong tulog narin ang mga kasambahay. Tanging study room ni Papa ang bukas ang ilaw na siyang nasa dulong bahagi ng palapag.

Maingat akong pumwesto at idinikit ang tenga sa labas ng pinto. I can hear voices having some heated conversations.

I knitted my eyebrows when I heard the voice of Arcane's father.
