Khione's POV

I am still caught off guard and I don't know what to say.

It's not that I'm unprepared for what happened but what he did, surprised me too much!

"Bro, stop cheating! What the-" Gav shouted angrily at Zero who had caught another fish.

It was afternoon but I did nothing but keep quiet on the side. We're at the-- I don't really know where this place is because my mind is still lost in thoughts.

"You just suck at this." Zero backfired.

Not even a smile could be seen in his expression but in his simple words, Gavriel was even more annoyed.

"It's okay Gav, you're doing better than I am." Keon laughed. Instead of feeling relieved, Gav got even more angry.

Who wouldn't be annoyed? He knows that since earlier after lunch, Gav only caught one fish except for the others who have almost filled their bucket with fishes.

"Hey, do you want something to drink?" Someone asked behind me.

Aside from the three guys who's fishing nearby. I found myself with Lowe at one side. Earlier, I walked away due to awkwardness and being uncomfortable but he always end up  appearing next to me, wherever I go.

Mom took us somewhere nice and now we are on a yatch.

"Sure." I answered. When he walked to the far end of the yatch deck with drinks ready, I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Why did that man have such a weird effect on me?" I looked at him from where I am standing. "That's it! I must be right that he's really the one who can put spell on someone. He's the real witch here!"  I grinned before rolling my eyes.

"Here." When he handed me a wine. "That's enough for you today." He raise his eyebrow like simply telling me that I can't do anything about it.

"And why?" Frowning, when I confronted him.

He doesn't even bother to resist my gaze and instead of being misled and akward, I am staring straight into his eyes.

"You've been drinking alcohol a lot in recent days."

Now, I raised my eyebrows, "And you care because?"

"Because too much is not healthy." He shrugged.

"But you're drinking a hard liqour?" I glared at him, "You've been drinking like- everyday!" I exclaimed.

"And so?" He replied.

This is pointless!

"I've been doing that with you guys in the mansion so what's your deal today, huh?" I asked him that almost came out as a whisper but in a confused tone.

"That's right. But it's not good for a woman who drinks too much alcohol." He remarked. He was quick to point my mistake.

"Yes, and it is also not good for you even if you are a man because it is bad for anyone to drink too much alcohol." I argued.

I just don't understand his point. He's limiting me in terms of drinking but it's fine if he's the one who's doing that? Unbelievable.

"Okay."

I looked at him with my creased forehead, "What?"

"Let's all stop drinking alcohol then." My lips parted at what he said.

He called the attention of the waiter on the side to get the wines we were both holding.

"W-what's up with you?" I asked, very confused.

I looked at him as if I was talking to a crazy madman.

"I care about my baby and I told you, let's stop drinking. It's not even good for everyone." He crossed his arms before leaning at the yatch's railing.

"What?"

"You said that drinking too much is bad for everyon--" I butted in.

"N-no! The thing you said before that." I propably look dumb right now but I want to clarify something.

"Uhh.. let's stop drinking?" He said, acting hard to remember what he said a while ago but his wicked smile can't fool me.

"No, the other one."

He smiled and sighed. Taking steps to get closer to me until our bodies are almost touching each other.

"That I care about my baby?" He whispered sweetly.

See? He's doing it again!

I blinked several times, "Baby? Lowe what are you talking about?" I asked him.

Wait, does he mean..

I was even more taken aback when he put his hand behind me so he can pull me closer to him.

"W-what are you doing, Lowe?" My voice was obviously nervous.

My knees are like jelly and I can't suddenly move away.

Why now?!

He adjusted and took some strands of my hair, placing it behind my ears. In that way, it would not block my face for him to take another stare at me.

I try to bring myself back to my senses but even my own feelings are betraying me.

I placed my hand on my chest when my heart starting to beat like crazy.

How dare you to beat like that in this kind of situation?! I shouldn't be feeling this way!

Maybe he thought that what I said was for him. I just close my eyes in annoyance.

"Yes / No!" Lowe and I answered at the same time.

"Sorry, it's an emergency." Nervous but I can see in Aurelius' expression that he has something important to say.

"What is it?" Lowe asked still a bit angry.

I was relieved when I took a deep breath to calm down as I remained standing behind him.

What happened earlier? Is Lowe trying to play with me?

I stopped fixing my hair when I heard what Aurelius said next.

"Someone called just now. At first we are not believing what they said but he sent proof, Lord Lowe." Concerned face as he said that.

"Just get straight to the damn point." Asik ni Lowe.

Aurelius handed over an ipad and even I was stunned by what I saw.

"Vito Giovano's life is in danger."
