Khione's POV

I have to stay with Kimiko at the hotel during the weekdays because the boys aren't around to handle important matters as they stated.

"We won't be home. Don't bother to cook extra food." Lowe said through the call.

He has been acting in this manner for the past few days without ever showing his true sincerity, particularly towards Kimiko. Whenever or just before he leaves,

"I bought breakfast and some stuff you and Kimiko can use."

"Thank you."

"Okay, be careful." I listened to how the line went silent, checking the phone if the call was cut off already and it was not, "Hello?"

"Yeah, thanks." He replied. "Anong ginagawa ni Kimiko?"

I look over at my daughter who is occupied with the puzzles Lowe purchased for her.

"Playing in her room." I respond.

"Good." He said, breathing heavily. As if he wants to say a lot of things other than that.

"Uhh? Anything else?" I asked.

He replied, "Hmm, nothing. Just be sure to always lock the door while we're away. Eat a lot, have a rest.. mag-ingat kayong dalawa ni Kimiko." My heart leaped with delight at what he said. Strange.

"Okay, ingat din kayo. Bye.."

"Bye."

Despite the fact that hotel service comes to clean rooms at specific times, I diverted myself by tutoring Kimiko for her upcoming tests before  cleaning the room.

We are unable to leave the hotel room while Lowe is away, for our safety and I'm really bored.

A knock on the door brought me back to my senses.

"Ma'am, it's really not possible, you're already bothering the people in our facility." I heard the voices of a woman and members of the hotel.

Their voices were a bit louder so I hurriedly walked to the door.

"My fiancé is here, why don't you believe me?" Iritang saad ng babae.

"You're violating the hotel rules, Ma'am." Magalang na sagot ng isa pang boses.

My creased brow instantly when Winona's face appeared in front of me when I opened the door.

"May I know what is happening here?" I asked, perplexed by what was happening.

There are 2 hotel staff and 2 guards with her. Pilit siyang kinakausap para umalis.

"Sorry to disturb, Ma'am. We will solve this matter in an instant—"

"Don't touch me!" Winona shrugged her hand away from the guard. "And you! Why are you here?" She pointed at me.

"It's okay." I signalled the guard to take his hands off of her. "Can you leave us for a moment?" They nodded as they took a few steps back away from the two of us.

"How about answering my question now?"

"What are you doing here, Winona?"

"I'm visiting the hotel and the room where my fiancé is staying." She pointed out, looking at the room from the outside. "Now tell me, what are you doing here?"

"Checking in? Relaxing? Not until you came." I answered.

"I was wondering why Lowe disappeared during our precious day, and look what I found!" She eyed me from my head to toe. "Good thing I did follow him. May umaaligid pala."
