Chapter 24

I smiled when I saw Jinoh sleeping peacefully. He was in the hard position.

"What?! 12 am na?"

I composed myself so that I wouldn't disturb him sleeping.

"Jinoh! Tulong!"

A familiar woman's voice made my heart race. My hands were shaking when I was trying to open the gate. And in my horror, I saw my best friend—Issabela, crying for help while bleeding.

"I-Issabela?"

I hugged her as soon as I reached her. My eyes were pooled by my tears instantly. I hugged her so tight, trying to calm her down and not minding all the blood stains on my dress.

"Issabela, tell me what happened. Bakit ang daming dugo?" I managed to ask her as we slowly sat on the ground. "Bakit ganito? Natatakot ako, Isabela..."

"Okay lang ako..." she said weakly.

"No, you are not okay. Sinong may gawa nito sa'yo? Wala siyang puso!"

She was crying so hard in my arms.

"J-Jinoh! Labas ka, please!" I shouted weakly.

Natatakot ako.

"Fiorella, nakatulugan ko pala 'yong movie..."

I lifted my head to see him. His smile slowly disappeared when he saw us.

"Tangina! Issa? Sinong may gawa nito sa iyo? Sino?"

"J-Jinoh."

"Issa, s-sino?" My heart ached hearing them crying. "Sabihin mo sa akin kung sino..."

I sobbed. My Issabela didn't deserve this kind of treatment. No one deserves to get hurt or to be in this painful situation where it causes so much trauma.

We tried to stop him, but he didn't listen to us. He ignored us, and it pains me to see him like this. I shouted my lungs out to stop him from punching Adam. And now they are punching each other in the face.

I can't. Hindi ko kaya na makita silang ganito. I want to stop them, but I don't have the courage to stand up. All I could do was shout—using my weak voice.

I distanced myself from them because I'm too afraid to go near them.

"Just please listen to me!" my voice raised because of so many emotions boiling in my heart.

He shut his mouth, then he went inside. I composed myself when I went towards Issabela. I gave her a sleeper I was wearing before hugging her.

"Kakausapin ko lang si Adam," she begged.

"Pumasok na muna tayo para gamutin ka. Please, listen to me, Issabela," sabi ko.
