Jealousy

I like the jealousy trope, sue me! Also, school starts tomorrow (sucks, I know) so my updates will become more irregular, I'm sorry.

Giyuu had been growing more and more annoyed by a certain someone hanging around Shinobu lately. The man was a demon slayer, not hashira level by any means, but he was strong. The man was very obviously interested in the insect hashira. He was always offering to help her, making flirty remarks and trying to speak to her. Giyuu would never have imagined himself as the jealous type, but he would be lying if he said he didn't feel nervous that Shinobu might be interested in him. Even if the guy wasn't as strong as a hashira, he had good looks, he was witty, and most of all, he was willing to actually have a long chat with her. Giyuu was a man of few words, it only makes sense that Shinobu would want him as a significant other over Giyuu.

But even though Giyuu knew that, knew she would be happier with him, his heart still longed to be with her. He wasn't sure when or how it happened, but he started to not mind her being around him. No, he actually wanted to be with her. He wanted to talk to her and be around her.

-Are you alright?" Tanjiro asked. The boy was sitting beside Giyuu, eating his lunch that consisted of soup and an apple. Giyuu said nothing, deep in thought. The more days passed, the more he saw Shinobu with him. It was quite frankly making Giyuu sick. He wasn't going to get in the way of her happiness, but he wasn't happy about her choosing him of all people, a man that was nothing like Giyuu.

-I am alright, just not hungry." Giyuu finally spoke up. Tanjiro looked worried, clearly not buying the excuse.

-Then why do I smell anger and sadness in you?" Giyuu paused, not looking the young boy in the eyes. Nothing could escape that nose, not even Giyuu.

-I'm not sad." The man replied simply.

-But you are angry., and if not sad, then what?" Tanjiro asked. Giyuu picked up his spoon and circled his soup absent-mindedly.

-It's nothing."

Shinobu was talking to someone in the butterfly mansion, Giyuu had gone there to deliver a package from the master. He wondered why the master wanted him to deliver it and not a servant, but he figured it would be best to not question it.

Giyuu waited patiently, the conversation between Shinobu and one of the medical staff members dragging on. Finally, the other person walked away and Giyuu approached Shinobu.

-Kocho." He greeted her. Shinobu showed him her usual smile.

-Hello Tomioka-san!" She chirped. Giyuu presented her with the package, explaining it to be from the master. Shinobu took the package from his hands.

-Thank you." It was quiet for a moment, neither of them knew what to say next, before Giyuu asked.

-So, where is your helper?" Usually, the man was glued to Shinobu's side, but now, he was nowhere in sight.

-Kanao? She's tending to a patient inside. Shinobu replied. Giyuu shook his head.

-I mean Kei, the guy who's been following you around like a lost puppy for a couple of months now." Giyuu explained. Shinobu frowned, averting her eyes to the ground.

-He's in town, I had him pick up some supplies since he's so insistent on helping out here." Shinobu said. Giyuu smelled something fishy going on.

-Oh? Then you wouldn't mind me helping you for a little bit, would you?" Giyuu suggests. Shinobu looks up at him, eyeing the man suspiciously.
