Giyuu had always spent Christmas alone. After Sabito and Makomo he believed he shoudun't be around people. It was his way of protecting himself. Push away and act cold. Shinobu though, had other plans. She asked him to join the others for Christmas multiple times, but Giyuu's awnser was always the same. "I don't want to waste energy and time on something as silly as Christmas" it annoyed Shinobu to no end. Her sister had always made her hot chocolate and they whoud have a nice Christmas just the two of them. It was one of her favourite memories. She even still had the little wooden butterfly box she got from Kanae for Christmas when she was a kid.

She remembers she caught a blue butterfly with a silver Streak in it. It was one of her most valuable possessions. Shinobu hummed a Christmas tune while she walked around. The estates had candels and mistletoes hanging from them. She went to the main building and caught the scent of porrage. She smiled to herself and went to join the others. She sat down beside Iguro who was quietly speaking with Mitsuri, and Tanjiro who was arguing with Inosuke.
-Gampachiro! The bore headed boy yelled.
-Its Tanjiro! And stop yelling! Tanjiro yelled back, his hair was dripping with water. Shinobu sighed.
-Ara Ara.. how long have they been at it? She asked Mitsuri.
-Propaply around 20 minutes. It started as Inosuke making fun of Zenitsu for being scared, Tanjiro telling him to cut it out, Zenitsu daydreaming about Nezuko and Tanjiro getting mad at Zenitsu. And then things escalated when Inosuke splashed Tanjiro with water. The love hashira said. Shinobu giggled.
-I fear they will never grow up. She said and streched her arm.
The people ate their diner in silence and after Shinobu was done she desided to go look for Giyuu.
-I will go look for Tomioka-san. He should come to the party.
-You will be lucky if you even see him. The guy is way to much of a loner. Iguro muttered.
-I need to try. Shinobu said with a small smile and headed off. She went to her room and took a small brown box with her.
Shinobu went looking for Giyuu, when she opened the door a cold breeze hit her in the face, snow had started falling. She searched his place, the beach and the whole base, but she choudun't find him. At last she decided to look in to a forest near Giyuu's estate. It was a grove of some trees and bushes. She looked around for a while before she spotted him in an oak tree. She swiftly climbed up and stood in balance on the thick branch. She smiled at him.
-You should join us. She began.
-Do you ever give up? Giyuu asked not looking at her, just staring to the distance.
-Nope, not until you say yes. Shinobu said.
-Ugh.. the water pillar grumbled. Shinobu felt like she was about to pop a vain.
-I wont stop until I know why you don't want to celabrate. Tell me! Shinobu reasoned. Giyuu turned to glare at her.
-I don't want to get attached to anyone, you and the others will leave, just like Sabito and Makomo. Giyuu growled. It all made sense. Shinobu looked at her feet.
-Sorry, I know how it feels. My sister died too, and we spent Christmas togheter every year. She said. The pair stood there in silence for a while before Giyuu spoke up.
-Why are you so set on getting me to that party?
-Huh? Shinobu asked looking up.
-You won't stop bothering me about it, so why do you want me to join the party? He asked again. Shinobu thought for a moment.
-I want to make memories, good memories, with all the demon slayers. I know that at the end all of us won't be alive, so why not live life to the fullest? She said. Giyuu's eyes flashed with sadness for a moment. He then sighed and jumped down from the branch and on to the grass.
-Where are you going? Shinobu asked.
-To the party, remember? The man said. Shinobu was a bit shocked, her speeche had worked.
-Are you coming or not? Giyuu called out. Shinobu smiled and jumped down beside him.
-Lets go! She said and started skipping to the base. Giyuu gave a ghost of a smile as he followed the petite woman.
The scent of gingerbread and porrage was heavenly. Shinobu choudun't wait to see the others reaction to Giyuu coming to the party. She opened the door and Everyone dropped what they were doing.
-You got to be kidding me, you actually got him to come? Iguro said and glanced at the water hashira.
-Giyuu-san, I saved you a spot! Tanjiro called and patted the seat next to him. Shinobu nudged Giyuu and the raven haired male strides to sit next to the younger demon slayer. Kagaya slowly came in to the room and took a seat. Shinobu went to sit next to Giyuu and Tanjiro.
-So, what do we do here? Giyuu asked.
-We give a present to everyone, we eat and we listen to music. Zenitsu said eating a rice ball. Giyuu nodded slightly and went to take food.
-I knew you choud get him. Tanjiro said. Shinobu shrugged.
-He needs to get out of his shell more. She said and reached for a gingerbread in a bowl that was on the table.
Everyone spent a pleasent evening with eachother. The soft Christmas tunes and good food where a great way to relax in all the crazy things that had been happening. Soon it was time to give gifts. Shinobu got a new hair ornament and some test tubes. Tanjiro got a half eaten sandwich from Inosuke and a bracelet from Zenitsu. Iguro gave Mitsuri a ribbon and Mitsuri gave Iguro a scarf. Shinobu looked to Giyuu. Everyone had gotten a gift, except for him. Shinobu reached in to her haori and got a brown box with a necklace inside of it. She planned to give it to Mitsuri. It had a blue gem and it was framed with a thin gold layer. She reached to tug on Giyuus sleeve.
-Huh? What is it? The man asked. Shinobu gave a small smile and handed him the necklace.
-I can't take it. He said and turned his face away. Shinobu huffed in annoyance.
-Take it, I want to give it to you. She said and shoved the gem in his hand. Giyuu looked supprised but didn't argue further. He clipped the necklace and put it around his neck.
-Thank you, Kocho, I wish I had something to give you.
-You can give me something next year. Shinobu shrugged. Giyuu smiled a bit.
-I will, and that's a promise. He said.
