Shinobu was sitting at her desk in class, she clicked her pencil in boredom. Highschool was not fun at all. She gave a side glance to the seat beside her, Tomioka Giyuu, the cool, lone wolf of the school. He was somewhat popular but he didn't like hanging around people. Shinobu had a crush on him but she doupted he noticed her, she was just another student In the sea of students.
Shinobu walked, she headed to the cafeteria with her two best friends Mitsuri and her boyfriend Iguro.
-Come on, Shinobu it can't be that bad! Mitsuri said, Shinobu let out a long sigh.
-I just wish I was more popular, maybe then he'd notice me. She mumbled. Iguro spoke up.
-What did you really expect? You are friends with the outcasts. You shoud have tried to befriend the popular kids. Mitsuri glanced at her partner.
-It's not that I wish I wasn't friends with you! She insisted. Mitsuri smiled.
-Of course it's not, but if he can't see how amazing you are then he is not worth it. Mitsuri said. Shinobu noded slightly.
-Lets go get some food, that will chear me up. Shinobu said dismissively, the group reached the cafeteria and went to pick some food. Almost everyone was eating already, today Giyuu was eating with the other semi popular kids at the center table.
-So, what do you think of the popular group? Shinobu asked.
-Everyone exept Jessica and Jay are nice I guess. Mitsuri said, Iguro noded in agreement. Jay was known for being a huge douche. He was the leader of the group of popular students, the Jock/Chad.
While Mitsuri and Iguro ate and chatted, Shinobu choudun't help but look at Giyuu, or who was with him. Jessica, of course. Jessica was always clinging to Giyuus side, she was a huge bully but she acted all nice and bubbly around the Popular group. You'd think they whoud see trough her act, but no. Jessica was clever.
-Stop looking, it's just gona make you madder. Mitsuri said shaking Shinobu's shoulder. Shinobu reluctantly turned her gaze away.
A few days later Shinobu was in math class. She was wrecking her brain over a proplem. She looked around and saw that Giyuu was looking at her. Giyuu flinched and turned his gaze to his book. Shinobu was suprised. Why was he looking t me? Do I have something on my uniform? She turned to check her clothes but found nothing.
It was yet another lunch time, Mitsuri had caught the flu so it was just you and Iguro. You sat at your usual table. In the middle of eating Shinobu glanced at the popular group. Giyuu and Jessica where chating, it made Shinobu jealous. Iguro stoped eating and sighed.
-Hey, dumbass, you are staring again. He said, Shinobu blushed.
-Right, sorry.. she said embaressed and turned her eyes on the ground. Iguro put a hand on her shoulder and turned her to look at him.
-Don't look at him, don't think about him and don't worry about him. Iguro said slowly. Shinobu just looked at her food and started eating again.
When lunch was almost over, Shinobu was getting ready to leave. She heard someone say her name.
-Shinobu. Shinobu's heart leaped, it was Giyuu.
-U-uh, yeah? She silently cursed herself for stuttering.
-You and that guy seem close, are you dating? Giyuu asked. Well that was blunt. Shinobu thought a bit taken aback.
-what? Iguro? No no, you got it all wrong, he is one of my best friends. Giyuu seemed relived by what Shinobu said.
-So, you and Jessica? Shinobu asked with a fake smile, she needed to know.
-what? No! Jessica is so anoying. Giyuu said in a bored tone. Shinobu choudun't help but smile. Yes.
-Anyway. I came here to ask you, maybe you whoud like to hang out sometimes? Shinobu choudun't belive her ears, was she in a dream? If so, she didn't wanna wake up.
-Really? You whoud go out with an outcast. She asked, Giyuu noded avoiding eye contact.
-Sure, I'd love to. Shinobu smiled. Giyuu blushed a bit.
-Great, I'll give you my number. He said fishing his phone out of his pocket. Shinobu smirked.
-Aw, is someone blushing. She teased. Giyuu snaped his head to look at her, his cheeks were bright pink now.
-No I'm not! Just take the damn number. Giyuu said. Shinobu stoped teasing him and they exchanged numbers. They promised to meet up soon and parted ways.
-So, how did it go? Iguro asked walking with Shinobu back home.
-Great! The girl cheared.
-Mitsuri will flip. Iguro said. Shinobu laughed.
-She will be so disappointed she choudun't see it.
