Giuyy X Shinobu ~oneshots~ requests (OPEN)

Happy valentine's day~ here's some fluff, I'm still having writer's block, sorry about that...

A small light was flickering in Shinobu's office. She was currently hunched over her desk, sleeping soundly. She had been up writing down reports and making a list of medicine and supplies she needed to stock up.

Giyuu stood there watching her for a while, basking in the complete silence that had fallen over the estate. He had been visiting because of official buisness, but he couldn't deny he had been searching for an excuse to see her lately.

The work that the hashira took on was hard, and they rarely had time for a break, let alone a visit to friends or family.

Giyuu cherished these moments more than anything. Moments where he didn't have to be doing something, where he could just take a breath and enjoy a simple thing, like watching his partner.

He finally moved. His movements were slow and quiet. He didn't want to wake her, at least not suddenly.

Giyuu took a hold of Shinobu in a gentle way. He slowly lifted her from her seat, and when she was in his arms, secured against his chest, he gazed down on her face. She always looked happy, but while sleeping, her face was compleatly calm. Her breaths were even and it tickled Giyuu's neck.

Giyuu blew out the candle that was still burning on the table and turned to carry Shinobu back to her bedroom.

Giyuu had some trouble seeing in the darkness, but he managed. Shinobu was light, and the steadiness of her breathing was strangely calming to the man.

Soon, Giyuu was in her room and putting her on her bed. But when he reached out to brush some of her hair to the side so it wouldn't be infornt of her eyes, Shinobu stirred. Giyuu mentally cursed himself, he should have just left. Shinobu cracked open one eye.

-...Giyuu?" She asked in a groggy voice. Giyuu sighed and whispered.

-Yes, sorry for waking you." He saw her crack a smile.

-That's fine. Guess I should have gone to bed sooner, but I had to finish up the work." She explained. Giyuu just nodded. He tried to surpress a yawn, but the flash in Shinobu's eyes told him it was futile.

-You must be tired." She turned to her side so that her arm was under her head.

-Yeah.. I think I need to get going." Giyuu admitted. Shinobu shook her head.

-Why don't you just sleep here? Surely you won't get any rest if you leave now." Shinobu's voice was concerned, but Giyuu only shook his head.

-I'll be fine." He answered gruffly.

-Why do you have to be so stubborn?" She asked. Giyuu snorted.

-Like you're one to talk. You're as stubborn as the come." Giyuu could see Shinobu roll her eyes at him. She took a hold of his hand, and realized it was rather cold.

-Just come here." She tugged on his sleeve. Giyuu couldn't deny that the offer was tempting. How often did they have the chance to sleep next to each other? He mulled it over in his mind and caved.

-Fine, scoot over." Shinobu smiled triumphantly and made room for him on the bed. Giyuu took off his coat and went to lay down. It was a little crammed, but when Giyuu put his arms around her and brought her closer to himself, Shinobu didn't care.

Giyuu yawned again, his eyes drooped as he finally realized just how exhausted he was. Shinobu snuggled up to him.

-I missed you." She admitted. Giyuu let out a tired sigh.

-I missed you too."
