I have to find out where she is. Is she all right? Seeing her grandfather has made me realize he doesn't know where Mei is either, which makes me anxious. When Mei left town, I had somebody helping me find Naina Matthews and I was worried about the things he shared. She'll be nice until she's dealt with. She has bi-polar disorder and sometimes acts violently. When she found out Mei and I were dating, she secretly planned the crash that no one knows about. I had a doubt that it was a planned accident that we were waiting in the signal and suddenly struck by a truck that was not waiting after striking us. We caught the truck driver and he confessed that Naina Matthew had paid him to kill us both. She was willing to injure even Mei if she wasn't her. That's one reason I stayed away from Mei to keep her safe. This is where I realized how cruel and manipulative Naina was. She was also crafty that I followed Mei when she left New York. I used to visit her to make sure she was safe and earlier I saw Naina made her fall in love. My heart was broken, but as long as Mei was happy, I was all right.
I called up Mitsuko and Himeko to meet me in the restaurant. Haru was already with us. I also invited Jacob and he helped me discover Naina Matthews. I asked them to get seated around a table and after closing the restaurant, I explained everything to them about Naina Matthews and I also explained to them about the planned accident. Their eyes widened and they were shocked to hear all of it.
"Jacob, can you please help us find Mei?" Her phone is still on, but she is not replying or answering my calls/messages", I asked him nervously.
“Of course, anything for you Yuzu", he smiled at me. Jacob's a good friend of mine, who I put in touch with a couple of years ago. You know, he was homeless, but he was smart. My mom and I took him in and paid for his studies. He turned into a good friend, more like a little brother.
“Mitsuko, would it be possible for you to send for your team once Jacob has found Mei's location?" I asked.
She shook her head and went outside to call her team and explain it all. After her call, she gave me a thumbs up telling us they are ready anytime.
Jacob sat down with his laptop and started working on it trying to find Mei's whereabouts. He said, for every 2 hours, the location's changed. Naina's not a dummy. She has her own gang and team who help her with her activities. As night fell, Jacob informed us that Mei's location was still the same. We thought they wouldn't move her until morning and this would be the right time to save her.
Mei please be ok. I'm comin' for you.
