Mei’s POV:
"Grandfather...." I walked in screaming as I entered the house where I grew up.
"There... my favourite granddaughter", he smiled at me but it only made me angry.
He hugged me and asked, "How are you doing?". I removed his hands around me and glanced at him. Does he really love me? I saw nothing but love in his eyes, but how could he do that.
"I need answers grandfather", I told him severely for which he nodded and he led me to sit on the chair in his office.
"What do you want to know Mei?" he looked at me.
“Why did you arrange brother’s marriage with Yuzu?”, I burst out. I saw a panic in his eyes, and then his face went into a thinking mode.
"This is all for your good Mei..." he answered calmly.
"Everything to my good?" You know I loved Yuzu Grandpa... we were inseparables... But still set his marriage with him," I screamed at him.
"The girl is no good to you." Mei”, he said casually for which I slammed my hand on his table which made him to flinch.
"Never talk about her that way," I warned him.
"See it yourself, Mei..." Her father was just an employee in our company, but now you can see Yuzu running multiple restaurants across the country. How do you think?" He's getting me mixed up now. Yuzu is not the one who runs behind money.
"I cannot believe you...", my eyes were on the verge of shedding tears.
"I gave her the choice... it's you or the money... she picked the second and the wedding is just to keep those hidden. But, when I found our your brother was already married, I called out the wedding.”, he said and walked towards his room.
Now I'm angry and I went to her house to be welcomed by her mom.
"Mei... it's been a long time, how are you?", she asked me lovingly.
"Where is yuzu?" I didn't answer her question.
“"She's not staying here, Mei... why aren't you coming in?" she said caringly.I just want to rip out Yuzu's face. How dare she used my love for money.
"I'm not the one who enters a home with someone who swaps love for money," I said angrily, which shocked her.
“Mei… you knew about Yuzu…. She never told me why she break up with you.. agreed to marry your mother… called off the marriage at the day you left…. Still being single thinking about you…. Don’t blame on her unless you knew the full story. I believe her”, she said.
Nothing went into my mind… I just want to confront Yuzu now and I started driving towards her restaurant now.
