With the recent release of their latest song, "2 Baddies", Mayse of NCT 127 has been announced to sit out of stage promotions.
On the evening of September 19th, SM Entertainment issued a statement to fans, relaying the medical health of the group's youngest member.
SM Entertainment's statement reads: "Hello, This is SM Entertainment. We are here to announce that member, Mayse of NCT 127, will not be participating in group activities for their current comeback. During preparations for the comeback, Mayse sustained an injury during practice and was admitted to see professional help. On the advice of her doctor, Mayse will be sitting out of stage promotions of '2 Baddies' however will be included in other schedules. We wish Mayse a speedy recovery. Thank you."
Following SM's statement, the artist herself released a personal letter on her Instagram story, @maysesonxo.
Mayse's letter reads: "Hello, I am sure by now, that you all have heard about the injury I received during preparation for this comeback. While I am sad to not perform with my members and see you all cheering us on during the stage, I hope you will cheer for the members who are working just as hard! I'm fine now, so do not worry too much about me! I will be monitoring my injury carefully and will continue to have a fun time with my group in other types of promotions. Do that forget to stream 2 Baddies NCTzens~!"
