the 24 members of nct were back together as one in an unknown area of seoul, surrounded by mountains and trees as they walked ahead when a large explosion was heard along with an alarm. mayse let out a surprised gasp as she ducked slightly before turning to see the portal was lit in smoke. "you're in the year 2084 now. welcome to the destroyed future," superhuman began as the members grouped together. "sadly, the portal that could travel you to other times and spaces just exploded. without the portal, it'd be hard for you to go back to the year 2020. but there are extra portals that can travel you back to the year 2020 and they also explode after some time. the time you have is 120 minutes. the extra portals will explore every 30 minutes."
going further into detail about the event, the members move together as one towards a double-decker bus that was locked up. ten ended up finding a map thanks to the blowing wind, reusing the field day teams to split up the ventures of the area. "i'll go with woo who dat team," mayse voiced, waddling over towards the males and wrapping her arms around ten in a hug for warmth. "ah it's cold." the group made way to a building, mayse releasing ten from her hug as she waltzes around the art museum-like room. not knowing what to do, she asks mark to take a few pictures for her before going to investigate for clues. "do we have to play it?" mayse asked herself as she eyes the piano momentarily before walking away from it to find mark approaching the instrument.
the older male inspects the paintings, gasping when he noticed something which caught her attention. wondering what he was thinking, mayse follows him and questioned what he had found, but he ignored her unintentionally. that's when ten caught everyone's attention, calling out to the group that they could go inside where they found a room filled with a dozen books. "oh my god. do we have to go through all of those?" mark asked.
"the sight of the books gives me a headache," ten joked as the group tried entering the room, noticing they had to find a key to open the door. finding nothing, they head to the fourth floor where they entered a room that was a researchers room. mayse glanced around the room, trying to figure out the puzzle. ten being a good detective found some things to help them but one of the extra portals had exploded, shocking some members.
"is it someone's birthday?" she asked herself, using the blue uv flashlight ten had found in a coat pocket, tilting her head as she thought to herself. handing the light to jeno as the group tried figuring out the puzzle, in doing so, another portal exploded, leaving three left. "ani, there's something else there," mayse held out her hand to take the torch as she glanced over the numbers. the password ended up being winwin's birth name. "wah~ winwin oppa is that popular," she laughed as they finished the puzzle for the briefcase. standing behind jeno, the brunette listened to jaehyun, jeno and mark read out the reports that replicated their doings so far for the show. following the group to another room where a table was set up, drinks and snacks set out as jaehyun caught the eye of a folder that they inspected before heading back to the third floor, now opening the room filled with books.
mayse wandered around alone when she hears the number 292 is said by one of the members she was grouped with. she moved to find the said number and frowned she found nothing so she moved on when she spotted something at 314. "ah! oppa!" she called to the boys, peeking her head from the shelves as they turned to the sound of her voice. "i found it! it's here!" she beams as they walked over to her, holding a folder as hendery shun the light onto it which showed 2, 20 and 26. the group ended up finding a music sheet for their song; yestoday, one of their songs. heading back to the museum, jaehyun sat at the piano, playing the music sheet and mayse sat beside him, humming along before mark called doyoung down to help with the key. according to the clue, the voice of mayse and doyoung was needed to be heard with the piano for the key to react 100%. the older male came over to the group as another portal exploded, rushing them as they only had one left, quickly jaehyun rushed both doyoung and mayse to sing for the key piece. suddenly a box was lifted, causing the group to head over to where the necklace remained with a glass 'c'. with their prize, the group moved down to solve the puzzle on the first floor. which was easy however the only group inside the cave weren't with the team when they entered the room to find the missing members screaming for help, being cuffed and blindfolded. rushing down, the free members wondered what to do when superhuman spoke.
"i am superhuman who controls time and space, and i am also the representative researcher of S.H.P.L Research Centre, Nam Chun Taek. you've travelled between various dimensions and showed how well nct adjusts to new environments. there is only one door that will take nct back to 2020. the last portal will explode if you exceed the time limit. you will be given 10 minutes," the voice explained. "you must untie your members and input the last password. that is the only way you can return to 2020. how can you untie the steel chains? the answer is hidden in the bodies of your members who are tied up. if you find the answer, all 24 of you must shout it out together." he continued to explain as the members ran over to help them. finding the clue easily as they yelled out the motto from the field day, the 24 member group completed the mission and stood inside the portal to head home.
