KBS Song Festival 2020

mayse arrived with nct as usual, sitting in the van with shotaro, sungchan, mark, taeyong, yuta and jaehyun, playing on her phone as she was busying herself by texting her boyfriend who was just arriving with his group. "shotaro-kun, are you excited for today?" she asked the japanese male, her eyes still on her phone as she side glanced at her friend momentarily.

"hai. i'm still a bit nervous about the special performance though," he smiled nervously as mayse smiled, placing her phone down in her lap as she turned to look at her fellow 00 liner.

"it's okay! my boyfriend will be with you and he's harmless off stage," she reassured as shotaro gave her a confused face. placing a hand over her mouth, she let out a small gasp before speaking again. "oh that's right! i never introduced you to him!" she laughed at her own forgetfulness. "hyunjin, he's a 00 liner and he's performing with you," she informed him, showing a photo of her and hyunjin together on halloween.

"ah! he's a good dancer," he pointed at her phone as mayse smiled, nodding in agreement. their conversation was cut short when their manager peeked their head into the van, telling them to head down to the red carpet for photos before we go and get ready to perform. the carpet was simple and soon they were able to head inside to change for the performances. mayse had a few to perform - she had one collaborative stage with nct, two with pandora and she had three solo performances to do. she didn't mind the number of performances she was doing as she loved performing for her fans but it did tire her slightly, especially with the ones that had difficult choreographies.

nct started with an introduction stage which included their songs: Class and Misfit. mayse stood by the dream members, her microphone turned off as she was speaking to the boys about how bad at gaming they were when they played among us last night. her mic was turned back on when Misfit began, her facial expression changing as soon as it came time to sing. after some left to get changed whilst nct 127 stayed and performed Kick It and once that performances were done, she had to perform RESONANCE. when she was needed to perform, mayse could be found hanging out with the pandora members. "yah! son miyoung!" minhee yelled, jumping onto her best friend's back as they met up with eric. "you're taller than i last saw you," she pointed out to him.

"i grew that's why," he smiled proudly as mayse and minhee eyed him, inspecting his outfit, turning to face each other then back at him.

"are you sure you're not wearing insoles?" mayse questioned as eric playfully glared at them, the two girls giggling as they left to find the other members of pandora. the black-haired nct member hung around with close friends she knew hadn't been in contact with covid, wore a mask and had fun. when she heard stray kids' name being asked to be on the stage, she followed to watch their performance from the guidelines - supporting her friends. "thank you manager oppa," she bowed to stray kids' manager who gave her a blanket to wrap around her legs for warmth. originally it was eunchae but since she was performing, mayse was able to use it.

when the stray kids members finished their performance and were leaving the stage, eunchae noticed mayse and happily squealed, running down to the female and engulfing her into a hug. "maymay!! hiii!~" she beams as mayse smiles brightly, returning the greeting as she undid the blanket for her and eunchae to share. "it's so cold i swear," she sighed, fog slightly appearing as they giggled.

"baby where's my hug?" hyunjin pouted as he stared at the two females hugging. mayse gave him a dismissive wave and states she loves eunchae more, hugging the older female who giggles at their small bicker. "i- i want my hug miyoung!" he protested, gently pulling her into a hug. mayse chuckles, removing the blanket away from her waist as she hugged her boyfriend, his arms resting around her waist as they smiled at each other. the blonde male leaned down and presses a soft kiss against her lips before hugging her, allowing the female to gently snuggle her head into his chest as he kept her warm in his arms.

"ew i feel single, and i'm not even single," eunchae gagged, turning away to face felix and chan who laughs at her words. mayse giggles and responds to her to find san and ateez who were getting ready for their performance.

"mayse-ssi, eunchae-ssi, you need to get ready for your next stage," a staff said politely, a clipboard in her hand as she gestures to the waiting rooms where the others were waiting for their arrival. mayse and eunchae gave an understanding nod, waving goodbye to the boys as they approached their waiting room.

"ayeeeee!~~" vina beamed, her hands waved in the air as the two girls entered with the same energy, greeting the members and staff as they got ready for their performance. pandora performed FEEL GOOD and HOLIDAY. after mayse left to change for her solo stages which included her songs: We Have Fun, Palette and Flower Road. after the event, mayse went home and stayed up working on other projects before she went to bed.
