it was a bright sunny day when all of nct ran out onto the open field of grass where they were holding a sporting event. it would be the fall of 2012 that they arrived in. mayse was unseen with the boys as they gathered. "ah ah ah, ice cream," taeyong tested the microphone on the pedestal as the members turned to him with smiles. "hello everyone," he greeted. "because it's so hot today, we'll be going home early," he announced as some of the members began cheering, their leader walking forward with a pleased smile on his face.
"what are you doing?" kim hwan pointed out, dressed in a sporting uniform you'd see pe teachers wearing in films and tv shows, approaching the pedestal as he faced the group of 23 males. haechan calls out a compliment to the older make who adjusts the microphone to his liking to continue his speech. "thanks. i wish you all the best. we will now begin nct united high school's fall field day!" he announced as the members cheered. "what's the highlight of all field days?"
"lunchtime!" haechan called out, the 00 liners lining up behind him.
"the prize money!" doyoung shouted repeatedly from his spot in the line he stood in.
"safety!" johnny yelled.
"those are important, but most importantly, the principal's speech is the highlight," kim hwan informed the group. "so i will now invite the principal to come and speak."
the boys applauded as defconn made his appearance as their principal, taking the pedestal to make his speech that was prepared by the sm staff. "our beloved year 1, class 3 of nct united high school, i'm principal yoo daejun," he introduced himself. "as the principal of the school, i'm absolutely delighted that the fall field day is taking place in such wonderful weather. are you all excited?" the boys cheered. "you remember our school's motto, right?" the principal then re-taught the group of boys the school's motto and had then been extra about it, pleasing mayse who stood off to the side, unseen by the camera crew. "where's mayse?" defconn asked after listing the four groups of males.
taking it as her cue, mayse appears running over to the scene dressed in a cheerleader uniform lola designed in the fandom colour of nct with pompoms in her hand. "annyeong!~ today i will be your cheerful cheerleader!" she beams brightly, her hair tied into a high ponytail.
"wah~ she's skipping out on field day," haechan teased as mayse neared him, pinching his sides as he surrenders with soft apologies to the smiling female.
"what? i'm just a happy cheerleader~" she sang, prancing over to stand by the old goes first team.

the first game to be played was arm wrestling, causing a few of the boys to cheer and others wail in demise. heading over to their resting areas, mayse finds a seat by taeyong who was cozy with the hood of his hoodie over grey-ish hair, hearing the boasting of lucas and his team from the left of her. the staff gave the teams time to compromise their order in which the players will go in, mayse sighing as she basked in the heat of the sun. when the game began, mayse grabbed her pompoms and walked out to the field, jogging to catch up with mark, walking by his side. "today's gonna be fun," she smiled as they neared the setup. "fighting!~" she cheered for no one in particular.
