At dawn, Sonia left her new bedroom and sneaked into her matrimonial bedroom. She closed the door and crept under the covers. He will find out in the morning that she was not giving up on them and his mother was about to receive a high dose of frustration.

Michael was tossing and turning before Sonia sneaked in. Her words sank into his heart. She was right, and he was wrong. The way his mother presented the matters was really convincing, but he knew deep down that Sonia was innocent. He felt bad for all the terrible things he said and prayed that God forgives him for being a bad example of a spiritual leader in his home. Sonia helped him to grow in Christ and that was surely one of her offences against his mother. The latter lost control of her son, not only to Sonia but also to God.

He went down on his knees to pray, and then his eye caught someone on the bed. He thought it was his imagination at first, but soon enough, he saw it was his wife. He wanted to wake her up, but he changed his mind and decided to let her be.

Michael was brushing his hair when Sonia woke up. He turned around and she immediately got out of the covers and apologized. She was about to walk out of the door when Michael pulled her by the hand and hugged her tightly.

"I am sorry for all the awful things I said to you. I cut you to the bone and distanced myself from you. I'm sorry I frustrated you and rejected you. I'm sorry for what I said about Mum and Dad. I regret not trusting you."

Sonia sighed and held unto him more tightly. They held each other for the next five or so minutes and Sonia finally spoke.

"I am sorry for being such a logger head; disrespecting you and for not handling it peacefully."

"I miss you Sonia. I promise that nothing will ever separate us again." Michael said and pulled away.

"I'll see you in the evening. You owe me a special dinner."

"And you owe me lots of affection Michael."

They broke away and he gave her a chaste kiss. "See you tonight."

Sonia giggled and brightened.

"I miss seeing you like this. I love you so much."

Sonia gave him another hug and rushed into the bathroom to prepare for work too.

The first major storm passed.

=====

It did not take long for Mrs. Rogers to find out that her plans did not work. Michael no longer called her as frequently as he used to, to report his wife and every plans they made together. She knew something else must be done to get rid of Sonia. Her precious son rarely visit her since he got married. The only other person who might successfully help her out was none other than Tiffany. Mrs. Rogers picked up her phone and began to make plans for her next attack. She promised herself not to use cheap tactics as attacking her family and friends. Soon enough, Sonia will know who was boss.

One Friday evening, Michael arrived earlier because he wanted to surprise his wife and take her to dinner at a very expensive restaurant. No sooner had he arrived that another person followed him. He heard the door - bell chime and went to the door. He smiled when he saw the visitor.

"Tiffany, what brings you here? It's so good to see you."

The petite beauty walked passed him into the house ad made herself comfortable.

"Won't you offer me anything?" She asked with a smile.

He sensed something was not right almost immediately. Tiffany had sworn to never see him again at his wedding reception, so seeing her now was a call for concern. Tiffany was stylishly dressed as usual and making subtle advances at him. She complemented his good looks brazenly and lamented at how she was supposed to be Mrs. Rogers junior if things had worked out between them.

"Why don't you take your leave Tiffany? I think you are in the wrong house." Tiffany laughed.

"Is your wife that bad? Your mother painted a saint but now she's the jealous type?"

"Tiffany,"

"Yes my love." She got up and walked towards him.

"My wife has nothing to do with my refusal to let you stay here." He said and turned away from her.

"Sonia has changed you! You sound so pathetic and old fashioned. I came here to spice up our lives and fire up our relationship. I never stopped loving you Michael." She suddenly held wrapped her arms around him from behind.

"I love you so much. Please don't turn me away."

Michael loosed himself and shouted, "Get away from me Satan! Get out!"

Tiffany refused to give up. She held him a tight embrace and just then, Sonia walked in but Michael was unaware of her arrival.

Michael loosed himself again and shouted, "Tiffany, I have never loved you and never will. Leave my house!"

Sonia smiled brightly and walked towards them.

"Nice to meet you once again Tiffany. I have heard so much about you from mother-in-law but only good things, I promise." She dropped her handbag and folded her arms across her chest.

"It is upsetting though to see you both in this awkward position but, I know who the guilty one is. So, will you stay for dinner?"

Tiffany was shocked and so was Michael, who had expected his wife to misunderstand the situation. When Tiffany did not respond, Sonia walked up to her husband and have him a kiss.

"Go and change into something more comfortable, I have booked us a table at the Ocean view Restaurant."

Michael held her in his arms and she asked in excitement, "What are we celebrating?"

"Nothing really. I just want to spoil you tonight."

Tiffany rolled her eyes and spewed out her hate for them both. "You two make me sick! Your mother was right! Sonia is a witch ad she has charmed you into forgetting those you cared about!"

"You mean yourself? Please leave Tiffany."

Tiffany grabbed her purse and left, fuming with anger. She was angry at herself for believing Mrs. Rogers' lies that Michael felt sorry for Sonia because of her humble background but she could see for herself that it was no fling and they would last for a long time.
